I really enjoy these lessons which combine playing both chords and solos because of the restriction you mentioned regarding being able to play shorter concise solos so that the chord playing can occur on time. I found a good starting point is to maybe use a slow blues backing track which gives you a bit more time to get used to this style then graduate to a quicker tempo shuffle if you're a beginner. Regardless, you become a better guitar player when you can inject chord rhythm elements into one's solo! Always appreciate the hand written tabs you include. Thanks Soeren. Ed
Hi Ed. Thanks for commenting. It sounds a good idea to take the speed down a little, in order to practice the licks. You can also reduce the speed (without loosing the groove specific to that tempo) on RUclips, but I guess you are aware of that. I have by the way some problems with my Cubase recording unit, it has to be fixed some time in the next week, so I dont know if I can get a video ready for next Friday. Hope you had a nice trip to Texas. friendly greetings, Soeren
@@soerenguitarlessons9947 That is true regarding using RUclips's setting to slow down the video to say 75%! You're right, I use that function quite a bit. I didn't notice anything unusual with your video that you mentioned in the description section below your video. Hopefully whatever the issue is you're having can be resolved. Yes indeed, the trip to Texas aside from the weather was great. I attended my niece's wedding. The temp was around 95f or 35c but the humidity was incredibly high due to storms that were hitting Texas further away but the moisture was everywhere so quite uncomfortable wearing full clothing and a tie! Well, hopefully you have success and we'll see you next Friday! Have a great weekend Soeren. Ed
@@ew6629 My studio teacher will come tomorrow, and I hope he can fix the two issues. It sounds as a very hot and humid weather this time in Texas. I saw in the news that many tornadoes causing terrible destruction in the mid/ southern states. As an old sailor I have also seen tornadoes at see, but as the water here in DK in general is cool, they are not really dangerous. I am currently working on a slow blues, and hope it will be possible to launch it Friday this week. friendly greetings, Soeren
@@soerenguitarlessons9947 That sounds like you'll be able to resolve whatever issues you have with help! Yes indeed, Texas and those middle states are considered as "tornado alley" and every year there's damage and fatalities. However, people seem to still want to live in those high-risk areas, maybe due to housing affordability or other reasons. Lucky that DK doesn't have to deal with that; same here in California. Our big threats are earthquakes and uncontrolled fires. Slow blues is my favorite style of blues so looking forward to that if you're able to get things resolved! Best regards Soeren. Ed
Hi Gerry, thanks for commenting. I have actually recorded a lesson about the thrill is gone, but that is many years ago, so that would actually be a good idea to record a lesson about this BB King hit again. friendly greetings, Soeren

Nice lesson, thanks! Can you create a lesson for soloing when the blues is not a shuffle? Like for The Thrill is Gone. Cheers!
