My wife and I have spent many happy hours around Derbyshire . We lived in Chilwell Nottinghamshire for seven years when my wife got posted to Nottingham University . Your blogs bring back many many memories . Mal in Australia
Hi Steve, watched a couple of your Derbyshire tours now, the scenery is “stunning” I’ve lived here almost 20 years and never tire of the views Happy days 👍
Thanks for watching my friend and wow you lucky fella living where you do it's beautiful there and I never tire of visiting that area it has stunning views and great roads. Stay safe mate.
Love your films mate !...I'm a big fan of the Peak District ....such a beautiful area of Derbyshire. When I'm out on my bike it's nearly always where I head to.Keep up the good work mate !.
Another top quality vid. You seem to have a knack for finding the most scenic of routes. So jealous 😁 also nice unexpected shot of the grey Ferguson 20 around 7 minutes there too.
Hi Steve, great video. Lovely landscapes, you tempted me to go for a ride around there, so I'll go this summer. Thanks a lot for the video and thanks to the cameraman two ... or it's camerawoman ???? ..lol thanks. Gus
Footage as good as ever Mr C, it looked a stonking day's riding - got me right in the mood for a seven day trek up the West Coast of Scotland, fingers crossed for good weather (& low midge numbers) for the coming week!
Got back yesterday - awesome time, the company was great, weather brilliant, beer and scoff the same and, mostly, the roads were incredible; if you haven't done it you have to do the road through Glencoe, it's tarmac heaven. We went up Applecross, a different kind of road but the views at the top were worth the terror of the first hair-pin going up.
Just discovered your channel, love it! Like how every trip I've seen so far seems to involve fish and chips 😋my favourite so far was the Wynsors works of shoes expedition 🤣
Hopefully got a Derbyshire tour lined up back end of May, just a day out with a few lads that live near Matlock but they know all the best roads so it should be a good one. Great video👍🏍
Awesome video footage Steve, we have just come back from 4 weeks in the UK and got to travel around the Derbyshire area. The countryside was spectacular so green and picturesque. We also had amazing weather which helped us to enjoy the vistas. Back home now - Western Australia is a little drier & barron. Interesting to see your pillons comments on the RT - I ride a Yamaha Super Tenere and we hired a R1200GS during Austrian leg of our trip. My wife commented on how the GS felt more comfortable than the S10? Maybe thats where the BMWs shine?
Wow Johnno thats quite some tour 4 weeks fair play to you my friend, And to include Derbyshire was the right decision also pleased you had a good spell of weather to. Your right about BMW's attention to comfort for the pillion as well as the rider as my pillion commented like your wife did, The riding position for me is as tho they have built it around me I'm so comfortable to ride. Thanks for watching fella and Ride Safe friend 👍
I have to admit the R1200GS was great to ride for our 4 days touring in the Alps, I might just be tempted to change the Yamaha out when the new 1250GS becomes available. We stayed several nights just outside Lincoln with friends, great spot.
Nice vid Steve. I’ve just got back from doing the NC500, ‘stunning’ was our most used word of the trip. Well worth a visit, we didn’t stick to the route strictly, we went with the more coastal roads, well worth going off the beaten track - we defo picked the right week weather wise. Stay safe mate 👍
Sweet video, and yes we are lucky to live in Derbyshire. I see you say you were on a new BMW, I was lucky enough to be given a new 2018 R 1200 GS Adventure bike last year by my eldest lad, it's a really great bike and such detail, it's the best Lego model i've ever made! Ride Safe.
Ha ha was thinking what a lucky guy been given a new Beemer until fully read and find it's a model lol. Thanks for watching another my friend Ride Safe
Another nice job Steve. The drone is paying dividends. The quality of your camera shows, compared to my sketchy stuff. While you're out there with a pretty woman I'm still slaving over my broken Kawasaki! Enjoy!
Enjoyed the video Steve although in all the years I have travelled Winnats Pass I’ve never seen an artic coming through. Seriously dodgy that and I suspect a trifle illegal!!
Prett much exact route I will be doing round there next month except with Cat n fiddle too. Doing a long weekender up north. Doing Lincolnshire Wolds too.

Hi Mick and Jue thanks for watching and the answer to your question is a very old now GoPro 3 which I'm not a lover of because of the poor battery life. BUT it's an ideal camera for short bursts on a Bike as gives great quality for the length of time we require it for. You may get one cheap on eBay my friend. Hope that helps and ride safe the pair of you.
