This expedition makes me want to play as a Vy'keen. Wearing the chitin chestplate as a war trophy with cybernetic limbs after losing my old ones in a grueling battle. Wich by themselves are trophies too since theyre made of sentinel scraps. Finishing the look with a mighty cape as a symbol of office.
hey ghost remember me, i know i haven't seen your channel in a while but i am back, also great vid, you make amazing content and i love to watch it, any way just i just gonna say i can't wait for the new vid (note) I am in english rn while watching this
Like you I was waiting for a big battle to occur, but they all stayed the same in the expedition. Would have been nice if they actually had increased the level as we went along, maybe at the last stage being attacked by the Brood, Corrupt Sentinels and the Monstrosity al at once? I don't know, but this expedition left me wanting more.
Wait.....At 1:02 are you using a freekin' Incinerator??!! man, that's on my wish list along with the Normandy...I want to sit at the cool kids table too!....also great video, but you knew that!
Thanks for the vid. I slapped the hell outta this expedition and honestly I kinda ignored everything. One thing I did notice while crushing another sentinel tower was interesting. Idk if I saw it correctly, but it looked like you access the sentinel log, it recognizes an "Adr1an3" adriane?
What are your thoughts on the subtle emphasis on "echoes"? There's some kind of idea that's attempting to form in my head, that pulls when I see echoes talked about in game. Also if I am interpreting it properly, the void mommy's greater consciousness is outside the reality, and her physical (the actual brain doing the thinking) configuration that processes and holds the mind that is bound by linear causality in the nms reality was initially the korvax's sentient planet (like their version of the gaia hypothesis). If so, as she gets destroyed, and has to retreat back to her space in between realities, she would be perceiving her reality outside the typical linear causality of conventional spacetime. Time only moves forward in the nms and our reality, but if her concept of linear time only exists when she is physically bound to reality, then it could be possible that each iteration of existence changes her, and would lead a being to try and create a space to exist where it would be possible to save the experiences and thoughts of the beings she cares for. The sentinels are really just a tool for beings without the ability to effectively act upon reality, like the atlas. So if she met that qualification, and has a desire to change things, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume every time we have ever seen corrupted sentinels or dissonant worlds, it's always been her, scratching at the walls of reality, to leak nonlinear causality to bleed into the nms universe. Her physical configurations are limited to a planet that has been continually destroyed under the watch of the atlas, and if it won't act, void mommy knows the only way to breaks the cycles, is to change reality. Or maybe I'm reading too much of the warp from warhammer 40k into void mommy.
I’m not sure that the emphasis n Echoes IS all that subtle, at least not since “Interceptor”. It’s pretty well received that it’s the “soul” of the being. A lot of the lore seems to support that the echoes can be transferred between vessels, and not just the Korvax. The Echoes lore specifically point out that a “body” can be a planet or a being - the derelict freighter talk about a Korvax who’s installed on a freighter and another into a biological body. Living shifts require a divergent echo and accept those of Travellers. So pretty interesting stuff that’s very present through the lore. I think you’ve got the gist of it, with a few exceptions. Sentinels aren’t JUST tools, they have a visceral connect to Korvax Prime and grieve its destruction. The Sentinel Pillar lore explore this a bit. They consciously chose to defy the Atlas on their own… though they do appear to be in cahoots with the Atlantid and the Family of Glass. The lore says that the Atlantid was born in the void but is vague on exactly how she ended up in Korvax Prime. It does seem that the Korvax home world is her avatar in the simulation and the sentinel pillars reference her destruction across the multiverse. It DOES seem that she’s stuck her in the void and IS able to save the echoes of SOME of her children. She’s slowly been expanding her influence over the universe with each entry into the lore, starting with Abyss but most overtly in the weekend mission lore of the summer of 2020.
That certainly is one interpretation of it. More often than not in recent years, it’s reserved for a group of people doing something for the first time or the way forward. There’s nothing in any of the lore, old or new, that tie this group to anything else in no man’s sky. So maybe we’ll find out differently in world part two!
...and "Sentinel Piller Lower" instead of Lore, shortly after. Also, Atlantic instead of Atlantid. I'm thinking you are using some software to write what it thinks you are saying, but it's not very good at it.
I recently found some more more directly tying abyssal horrors to the Atlantid, I suspect we’ll see a more direct link to the brood once the last part of the story arc comes out.
I wonder if refining and creating recipes hold bits of related lore. Residual Goop comes from cured dust and leads to many atlantid and abyssal recipes such as hypnotic eye which also lead to automated tech. Hadal cores connect the abyss and the slimes too and they all end up refining into Nantes. Even biological horrors attack when you release larval cores that refine into Nantes. Perhaps the purple eggs they guard are whispering because they are related to the void.

That’s a great take for a NMS RPG!
Thanks!
Thank YOU! 🙏
good on ya to do that :)
I love your lore videos. This is a really good expedition so far. Thanks for covering this!
Thank you! I really do appreciate that. I've enjoyed this one too - faster paced without all the filler milestones.

Hi Sonny! Thank you, I truly appreciate that. It’s good to see you again. Welcome back!
I just shared this video on my own channel - it's inspired, insightful and as always - coming well informed. Thank you!
Thanks, GGF! I appreciate that! 🫡
As a old player coming back from 2019 for the update..that eye larva this in space tripped me out😂😂😂😂
Me too! You can’t usually see them in space from the ground! When I saw it I thought it was floating just above my head!

Ha! Yeah! I had to piss off some sentinels while fighting the brood mother just to make it interesting! lol
So much for carnage mode!

I used one of my free spins on no man’s app to get it in their new packages tech section. Everyone gets 3 free uses a week!
You could even get the Normandy!
@@GhostLightXE my day job keeps me too busy... I don't know what you're talking about. I want one too... Share a link?

There’s a paid side to the site but you can get 3 free uses per week.
This expedition seems very nice
I enjoyed this one! A little bit of carnage and it moved quickly.

Yeah… google the summer weekend lore of 2020. Some really great lore related to the Abyss, Ariadne, some of the other iterations as well!

Aren't Vanguards first to go in? Meaning they are only part of a bigger army

Abyssal what now?!?

Yeah, I’m ok with some margin of error… that one though 😬
well those corrupt purple color anomaly bounties are corrupt and have you kill horrors... purple and corruption again.

the music in the background is really distracting looop loop loop loop
I’ll bite the feedback and lower the volume next time. Other comments have said a full song is too distracting. 🤷🏼♂️
