Mayor Alice Guo's case is probably almost the same as that of Governor William Chongbian, Filipino Chinese -Visayan tycoon & governor of Misamis Occidental province, Northern Mindanao region, who was accused of being a Chinese citizen & not a Filipino citizen. Well, it can be read in wikipedia. From what is happening now, this may seem to be another poltical drama which may just resolve itself in unexpected ways. However, it renains to be seen.

I think her way of thinking is entirely different from how we understand this case. She's taking it as if it's a personal attack against Alice Guo because we're suspecting her she's a Chinese national. But the main issue here is that Alice Guo is being suspected as the leader or the child of the biggest Chinese crime syndicate in the Philippines while holding "political power" at the same time. The tightening of late registration is for our protection to deter foreign nationals like her to abuse our system. Clearly, the old woman in this interview doesn't fully understand the gravity of the situation and just thinking on the surface of things. She even believes Alice Guo is an innocent Filipino-Chinese and sympathize with her as she falls victim to our politics. She is right. Root cause should be corrected/investigated, not a person na “nakalusot” na sa imperfections of the system. Also staying focused on the big problems like POGO in all aspects and in general, not just pogo in Tarlac specifically and zeroing on one person. That is why the Philippine system is very slow and of low quality compared with other/foreign governments .

Remember Alice's initial story? She said her biological mother was just the housemaid, and the mother (housemaid) left when Alice was born. Hence, Alice never got to meet her nor know her. Alice was just abandoned "love child" of a kasambahay. Remember this? She stood solidly by this tragic story in the first hearing.
On the next hearing, she still stood by this story at first. Then Hontiveros revealed that her "kasambahay" mother turns out to be the legal wife of her father, as written on her birth certificate. So Alice, right there and then, immediately changed her story. But she's still the only child. Then Hontiveros again revealed that she has at least two other siblings by the same father and mother. So, Alice to again change her story. She said her father admitted she has siblings, but maintaining she never knew the siblings and the mother. Her life story is just so pitiful, or as she puts it "not perfect", to try to gain sympathy. Then Hontiveros revealed she had Alice's travel records, and it showed Alice and siblings did travel abroad together. So Alice had to again change her story.
Did you not watch the Senate hearing? It was more than 4 hours long of Alice lying and lying, and lying again, and kept changing her story.
You shouldn't be sarcastic when you don't keep yourself updated with news and facts. This is not a personal pissing contest where the most dramatic comment wins. NO. We deal with facts. I commented what I commented because I saw how Alice kept lying in live Senate hearing.
Alice was not abandoned by her mother. Her mother was not a kasambahay. All official documents of Alice's father and mother were falsified. Both are NOT Filipino. The fake "kasambahay" mother had no birth certificate, no marriage certificate, no death certificate. She supposedly married the father 3 separate times, according to birth certificates of all 3 siblings, and yet, there was never any public record of her marriage. She was entirely fictional, or... she was a Chinese citizen trying to pretend to be a Filipino.
