definitely helps take up some space in the whole of the squat. hate it for deadlifting though. too aggressive and inflexible. If you don't have a lot of room between your ribs and your pelvis like me, you may hate how aggresive it is over your ribs while deadlifting. I also don't like how much extra buckle there is just when moving the belt around to put it on or store it. The buck swings everywhere and you have to adjust it back into the proper form for what you're doing with it whether putting it on or storing it.
All really valid points - their sizing policy is really strange and you can't afford to make a mistake. BTW apparently SBD now do a 10mm lever belt that's quicker to break in. The thing I don't like about SBD lever belts, as I'm too old to be competitive now & so don't bulk, is that the lever only has a 1 inch adjustment either way. I know SBD is a UK company so I should back them being English but tbh I prefer the new Pioneer lever (PAL V2) that has a 1/2 inch adjustment.
@@9mmdump what? when i first got the belt i was a 31-32 and the M fit perfect... now i'm about 35-36 and some days it'll barely fit lol.. anyone got a Large to trade? lol.. I need a L and damn i don't want to spend another 300 on it..
I have a 39inch waist. All that’s available is the large. I know it would be tight but I’m cutting and don’t plan on bulking back up. Will I be ok with large
I think you’ll be alright, but the belt will probably fit you really tight. You’ll probably fit to the first 2 holes only. If you’re ok with it being really tight at first you’ll be okay. When you cut down it’ll fit you much better, and you’ll have more room to adjust the belt.
You could get a L but it is going to fit you tight if you don’t mind that then you’ll be okay. If you plan to not cut down more and stay at 40 in waist I would get a XL in case you bulk back up.

SBD sizing policy? I just bought one and specifically read beforehand that you can exchange for a different size within 30 days
Ignore what anyone says and just buy it, its so worth it
Brilliant info 😎. Thank you

I was literally thinking of buying one! Such a helpful video 👍🏽
Yes sirrrrrr appreciate the support 🙏🏼
Same issue I had with sizing. Had to downgrade to a large. Size down 1!
Good review! Thanks, keep up man 💯💪🏻
Thank you! Appreciate your support.
If your waist size is 34 and you're wearing MEDIUM size belt on a tight setting...how many size/hole you have left on the belt to go up?
3 holes left for me to go up!
I wear a 32 and I needed an L. The M was too tight on me, I tried using it with 2 holes at the end and it wouldn’t lock
@@9mmdump same
M is very small

They just released a new 10mm belt! Would love to know your thoughts!
Thanks for letting me know! I’ll make sure to get it and compare them 👍
Yess please please release a video about it!! I think about getting one
Very thanks for info❤

My belt doesn't close like you just did when I'm not wearing it. Is it faulty?
Both of the belts I had also didn’t snap in when I didn’t wear it certain times. As long as it doesn’t open when you are lifting you’re good.
It’s called a break in , I just got mine yesterday didn’t know it was a thing
Thank you guys
this belt cost 272 USD in my country.,..
It is pricey but worth the investment!
So shoukd i get a 13 mm or a 10 because im trying to compete im 5,5 145 lbs
Personally, I would get the 13 mm for the extra support. It is more popular to use during competitions.

@@Alphalad_ just came in. Fits how you say
@@Anthony-h1s9v glad it fit!!!
40 inch waist rn at 238 lbs but cutting down dropped a few sizes already should i get large 10mm would that suffice?
