Ache teachers Har clg mai hote hain...Fark itna hai..class mai tumhe padhne ka mann nai hota aur abb ho raha hai...isiliye wo samajh mai nahi Ata tha aur ye samajh mai aa raha hai..
Mam I'm confuse in chromophores and auxochromes ... because you are saying that chromophores are unsaturated so why are we adding saturated compound? I mean to say how can be saturated compound enhance the intensity or colour of unsaturated compound? Because in previous video you said saturated compound can't be absorb uv visible radiation?
Can we define simple chromophores like this, it is unsaturated grp, which is responsible for change of colour of a compound,,... And the auxochrome, it is saturated grp which enhance the intensity of colour of a compound
I was getting confused but you made it so easy for me to catch up the concept. Thank you so much mam 😌

I mean to say how can be saturated compound enhance the intensity or colour of unsaturated compound? Because in previous video you said saturated compound can't be absorb uv visible radiation?
The presence of saturated group influence the absorption and wave length. Which is called absorption and intensity shift
Effect of saturated group is due to its ability to extend the conjugation of chromophore by the sharing of non bonding electrons
Can we define simple chromophores like this, it is unsaturated grp, which is responsible for change of colour of a compound,,... And the auxochrome, it is saturated grp which enhance the intensity of colour of a compound
Yes
Thank you mam
Most welcome
Maam if wavelength is increased then energy should be decreased and so intensity .
4:25
Can you please explain.
E=hc/lambda . So wavelength and energy are inversely proportional. That is why.
Thank u so much mam
Welcome
Mam as Chromophores have pi orbital . So they show colour in uv... As same in benzene there is also pi bond so why we need of Chromophors .?
No point of need, gp which is responsible for colour is chromophore
@@chemistrybydr.anjalissaxena but then why we required that chromphora here
Thanks
Welcome. Plz like subscribe and share the video to the other students.
muy interesante!
Waw mam I don't get that point during my bsc
what is meant by non-bonding electron?
Which are present in the outermost shell but doesn't participate in bonding
@@chemistrybydr.anjalissaxena thank you miss

mam why benzene is colourless although it is uv active as it contains pi bonds?
@@harshvaish7305 it is un inactive cuz there are pi and sigma both type of bonds pi to pi star will occur but sigma to sigma star will not
Thanks mam
