- In this video, Mr. Kongable had the privilege of learning how a Machinist centers a part in a 4 Jaw Chuck.
Thanks so much to Brad Junker of SCC Machining for allowing me to spend time learning from him.

My instructor has no teaching ability. He lacks the passion this guy clearly has...
Worst demo I’ve ever seen. I’d be done the job by the time you have it centered. You need to sweep the z-axis also, you don’t know the entire part is straight, jeez man .
I’d be interested to see how you do it, do you have a video of it?
A acquaintance was a incredible machinist without any training. I could watch for hours. This brought back memories.
Thank you Mr Kongable.
It’s pretty amazing what they can do. Thanks so much Bryce for watching!
Great Video nice and clear! Great tips 👍😎👍Thank You!
Thanks for watching!
What a lugubrious way to do the job!!
do you have a video you recommend that is faster?
how too make a simple job painfull
I was taught to center the part within three revolutions of the chuck. If you analyze the methods you have been using I think you will discover that it is possible. I got yelled at if I spun the chuck too much.
Good tip, thanks
