Great interview! I went to that concert in 1995 at the Bristol Colston Hall, 15 years old with my parents and younger brother. As soon as Hank played the opening notes to Live and Let Die, I was hooked! It was my first introduction to Hank and The shadows music and never looked back!
Well done Justin!
Hi Justin - I went to that same tour in 1995!! At the southport floral hall
Great interview with a very talented Justin Daish 🎶🎸
Love this. Justin is so talented and the resemblance is amazing. Hank is as popular now as he was in the 60's. To back that up I went to a big talent show event not long ago and every other act was a Hank Marvin act. Kind of over shadowed the event really. Boom boom.
Met Brian when he came to Canada with Bruce for the North American Shadowmania - spent the whole weekend with them - MAGIC. Met Brian again at the original final show of the 2004 final tour at the Apollo - the Palladium being added as a last minute gig.
Such a brilliant interesting interview. Justin describes his technique so well and I can relate to a lot of what he’s saying.
Colin Pryce Jones was the bass player in our band "The Reflection" which played many Shads numbers in the late 60's and early 70's in Cornwall! We were based in the Camborne/Redruth area and played all over the county. Colin now lives in North London. The Rapiers have not played since the pandemic shut down all the venues - hopefully they will re-appear soon but Colin was still contemplating their future when I last spoke to him a few weeks ago.
Yes I always said I should of been born a lot sooner missed my time lol
Hank Marvin a slightly odd looking guy with huge glasses 5:12 ??? Not a very flattering comment especially coming from a fellow fan.
Not really. I'm a really big fan of The Shadows & Hank Marvin ever since I first heard them in 1963 and I once commented to another big Shads fan that Hank looked pretty scrony.
