Never thought of elderberry syrup and definitely never thought of fermenting it. Thanks for all the information and for participating in Fermenting February!
I'm in Iowa and we have tons of wild elderberries here. I have picked the flowers before but only used them in tea. I'm definitely going to give this a try!
Gosh thank you so much for all the information elderberry/elderflowers! This was a great video. I planted a bush last year and am planning to propagate cuttings this year. I am so excited to try this!! Thank you for sharing and participating! 😊
I have used the elderberries in the past for syrup but not flowers or fermented anything with them. So nice to be introduced to your channel. I am learning so much from this collab and am so grateful to everyone! Blessings on your day Kiddo!🥰🌻🐛💕
This is so totally new for me, I have used elderberries for immune support but never knew the flower was also healthy. Another must try ferment for me!
This looks and sounds amazing! We have the light blue elderberries that grow wild around here and my sisters and I went out last fall to harvest berries to make syrup. Yum! Never thought of using the flowers! Thank you so much for this idea.
Oh boy….I usually tincture my flowers but I hate having to buy or keep alcohol in the house and a good glycerine is even more expensive than good alcohol. Now thanks to you I have another tool in my belt! Thank You SOOOO much! I can’t wait to use this for warm tea anytime, but mostly for when those pesky illnesses start to circulate.
I’m so loving all these ideas! Where has fermenting been all my life! Thanks to you for sharing! Now I have to go hunt me up some elderberry bushes! ❤️❤️
I used 2 cups of water with 2 cups sugar plus 2 tbsp citric acid. Dissolve and let cool, the pour over the flowers, add citrus slices and a fermenting weight, and off you go
I will revisit this video when my elderberries flower! I planted a row of 5 along my front chicken fence to beautify the view. I used to have ten plants but took them all out as they were getting broken where I had them. So 5 years later I'm starting over. Thanks!
I love elderberries but I didn’t know you could preserve the elder flowers. I learned something new today and that is always a good thing. Thank you for this video.

This is fantastic! I have the tiniest little half inch plant cutting popping out of a small pot I bought at a plant sale. I am excited to get more and plant this month. I live in the city in south Texas and I have a million birds in my yard so using the flowers will be so amazing!🙌 thank you so much for the recipe and have a blessed day
