Just found this and it's incredibly helpful! I had my reservations about continuing on with learning through these textbooks but am now more confident that it's great esp for TOPIK I! Thank youu!

Thanks for sharing! I was really curious about these books as I've been seeing them all around the internet recently. I wondered if they were good for self-learners and it seems like it is the case. Extra help from someone would be a plus.
Have you ever got your hands on an Ewha book? I would be curious about a comparison.
Anyways, good job on the review! Maybe I could suggest to show the inside of the book in your next review. It helps getting an idea of the structure of the book and it is also pleasant to see and get an idea/feeling of the book. 🙂

Ah! I actually filmed footage of the inside of the book, I just forgot to use it :( Next review will include footage inside of the book!!
And yes, I've used Ehwa 2-2 but I actually really disliked them. I think there are so many differences between Vitamin Korean and Ehwa. Maybe I'll make a video about it~ ^^
Thank you for your comment :)

Is it enough to study Vitamin 1 to pass the first level, and also the second book to pass the second level? Thank you, or should I buy more books?

Hey, have you ever tried the TTMIK books? I own all of those and I am wondering whether to get these as well or whether I am just fine with TTMIK, I love being able to use different resources to supplement each other! Also, I thought your review was really great!

    • @KoreanWithKat

I used TTMIK audio lessons until level 5 but I never used their books. I have a few of their non grammar related books but I don't think they are super helpful. I can't speak for the grammar level books as I have never used them!

안녕하세요~ Your korean speaking voice is so nice! Did you listen to any specific speakers to develop it? Anyway I’m learning using Pimsleur but I wanted a textbook to learn more grammar. Thanks for this video!

    • @KoreanWithKat

Not really! I just watch 99% Korean youtubers, so I guess I developed a certain way of speaking through them! My voice just naturally changes when I speak Korean. It kind of goes higher and more nasal.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!! :)

thank you for the review!! i have a question: i want to buy this for someone who has been studying korean on their own for 6 months with anki and TTMIK-- they know a good amount of vocabulary and basic grammar, so i'm not sure if i should buy them the first book or if it would be too easy. do you or anyone else in the comments anyone have any input? thanks!!

Hmm, no haha. I have a few TTMIK books but I don't think they are helpful to me. They're great to supplement something else, but I think just using their free audio lessons is enough!

I will eventually post a "how I study with Vitamin Korean" video. I just have to get around to filming it. However, I do talk about how I use it in this video, so make sure you watch closely! I also talked about it on my instagram :)
