i keep listening to this interview. One of the best because Casey comes off as down to earth...I am who i am so there...you will not put words in my mouth or misinterpret what I say....and it's ok to be yourself, follow your own path in your own way...mistakes included.
I can't believe someone had the audacity to say this guy was a bad interviewer. He managed to get Casey Neistat to actually sit still and talk for longer than 5 minutes. That is extraordinary all on its own.
Lewis...I've "never heard of YOU"...and a big Casey fan. Saw this video in my feed. Great interview. I have heard a lot of people interview Casey and you did well. When I've been following him for 5+ years and hear something "new" from Casey, then that is a big kudos to you. Thanks.
I have been following Casey for almost 3years on youtube, I have been following you Lewis seen the Tony Robbins interview (i have listen to all episode on soundcloud). Both of you have inspirered me. Started my second company second company two years ago (a media company) and 2weeks a started my 3company. I just want to thank you for the wisedom and inspiration. Good Vibes. Stay Blessed Brothers
+Tomas Mehari ...good luck to you dude....im 44 years old / 2year s no job...today 4th nov 2015 , interview retail , supermarket...allways helps me find life and work
As someone trying to start a youtube audience in 2015, I agree with Casey that it's still a very unknown form of media, there's just more competition out there. But most people don't realize the effort that the champs are putting in. When Casey says he buts 9 hours into editing a video, I believe it. But others will look at the choppy cuts and think that it's somehow unedited or sloppy. It's not though... it's a new form of refined. Put in the work and the fans will follow. With youtube, with filmmaking... with life. Great interview
Lewis, I've been a fan of this dude for probably about a year now (found him by discovering his video about flying 1st class, etc. when I was searching videos of people who vloged some of their trips (in 1st & business class). This is definitely the best interview I've ever seen with Casey and REALLY want to thank you for YOUR service in hosting the interview and posting this video.
+Jacob Crow-Mains lmao i know, he was like dude..... are you fucking serious, but for real how did he think it only took a half hour, takes that long to upload the footage..... my last vid took me like 2 weeks lol
This interview is epic.....I was horrified when you asked "What if you had never had kids or gotten married what would your life be like?" Then his answer (which I guess I knew deep down but never had heard the words put to it): To pay attention to the past and what could have been, is a tremendous exercise in futility. Now I am glad you asked it. Perhaps you asked it because you recognized some of yourself in him and you wanted to know what he would be like in your perspective? I always do that! That was just one of many gems. Great interview! Loved it! Thank you.
What a great video and awesome podcast!!! Just subscribed after finding this interview with Casey. Lewis is a good podcast host - allows his guests to talk and asks the right questions.
This was a great interview, thanks Lewis. Casey's story has inspired me to start my own RUclips Channel with an focus on world travel. We're going to do daily vlogs this summer as we broadcast live from Europe. We need more creators like Casey. Stay humble, world.
This is the best interview I've seen yet Lewis. Casey is so immensely genuine and inspiring. Thank you Lewis for being who you are and improving the quality of life for the rest of us. Namaste
What a great, humbling interview.. Love hearing about his grit and tenacity, where he came from and his struggles.. It really helps to keep things in context and perspective when things are tough. Also amazingly inspiring..
Never heard of Lewis - I guess it popped up because of Casey. But this was an awesome interview. Great questions, smooth segues. This also gave me a whole new perspective on Casey. Very impressive and grounded personal philosophies to achieve so much with such initial hardships. My prior assumption was that he was just another talented NYU films student.
Didn't think I could be any more intrigued with Casey Neistat than I already was but my mind is completely blown. One of the most inspirational conversations I've ever heard. Props to Lewis Howes for actually manifesting such honesty from all the people he interviews. That is an art form. Please continue making these incredible interviews.
Lewis Holmes I did not get the chance to finish this interview until now. I truly enjoyed and respect Casey I think he is truly amazing and so glad I had the opportunity to watch his creativity through the Month's and definitely enjoyed your interview with him. I Thank You so much for sharing this with me. I have learned through watching Casey that their definitely can be a Second Chapter in your life and never give up. I can not explain the second part but I have so much in common but female Version and he showed me through his life and family and Vlogs how precious life is and no matter what never give up.So Thanks so much for sharing and Definitely enjoyed Deb.✌️👍😎
This was an amazing interview. Have been watching Casey Neistat videos for the past month with great interest and appreciation. You asked great questions in this interview the hour+ flew by. I also made a new discovery with your channel through Casey too.
Just stumbled onto Casey's channel. I subscribed and because I was just letting it play, video after video, I came upon this! Great interview, great guest! Thank you guys!
A bit like the Presidents, you can see the physical changes in Casey's appearance due to the stress and lack of sleep from the beginning of vlogging up until today. He's incredibly driven and yes, "laser-focused." This was an excellent interview and I do hope there's a Part 2 coming soon! Lewis, I didn't know of you before but this has spurred me to view some of your other content. Keep it up!
***** You're welcome Lewis. Totally disagree with the people who didn't like the way you interviewed him. I really liked your way of talking and asking, you were pretty well informed about his situation and his story ;)
Hey this is perfect! I've been wanting to pick Casey's ear for a while. So glad I found this episode because he has definitely given me inspiration to create content. Thanks for always producing GREAT interviews Lewis!
when i was in grade 11 i couldnt figure out what to do with my life, i got a job washing dishes and thats the best and worst thing thats happened to me. But you know what, it motivated me. still dont know what i want to do but i know what i dont want to do, so come this fall i will be going for a bachelor's degree in Community and Criminal Justice and at the end of the day, thats better than washing dishes for a living
FanTAStic interview. I'm a big Casey fan. Just to expand on what he says about people choosing how they spend their time - look, I'm in my 50s. For my whole life I've been insulted by the way other people and organizations (school, IDF, college, workplaces) so assume that it is their RIGHT to tell me the best way to use my time and where to direct my attention. The internet has provided enormous freedom that we're really just starting to explore. It isn't just the younger generation taking control of what they watch. It's all of us. And heck, in 35 years, how old will Owen be? Youth is such a temporary condition. Lewis - thanks for this. Casey - you're an inspiration and a great teacher by example in every way.
Me too I havent watched tv chennels in years and also in my 50s lets face it we grew up with the internet and watched it evolve. I dont pay for any tv now.
I've heard Casey's story at least 3 times. Here, Tim Ferris's, KC's channel. And It's STILL inspiring and intriguing to me because of the integrity behind it and the fact that the truths he mentioned are not just big headlines, but things that he actually shows in every video he makes. such an amazing raw unique character
Great interview, especially to learn how he created the success he has on RUclips. Really resonated with what he said about - there is no path but the one you choose to make.
Brought here because of Casey but glad I was. Not sure why some comments that Lewis talks too much in this interview - on the contrary I felt that his relaxed conversational style encouraged Casey to talk more deeply on some issues. I've subscribed to Lewis on the basis of this interview and look forward to watching more of his posts. Good job.
Awesome, very lovely interview. Casey's understandable fear about his life eventually ending and that being "it" makes me think about our having an eternal soul and the treasure we can store up with the life we live today.
Probably one of the most inspirational conversations I have ever heard. What an amazing guy.
+CloudKid yupp
+Mii Mii DU HIER ? Alter du bist auch überall :)

You are such a nice host Lewis and a great listener, I also appreciate that you let the other person talk.
+Sheslulu Im taking this as I think you mean it haha, and If you mean it like I think you do then yes I agree
+Bijan Izadi Yes I do mean it haha. Did it sound sarcastic? Didn't mean for it to sound like that.
Then no. Lewis isnt a great listener
+Bijan Izadi TRUTH. He's talking over Casey and making assumptions that are mostly wrong lol
There's always gotta be negative Nancy comment on a positive channel hahaha
'The story is told in the edit' love that
even four years later, this interview is still packed with so much wisdom
love you Casey + great interview Lewis!
Great! Casey is so motivational!
Ευτύχης Μπλέτσας Ευτυχή, το μόνο που δεν περίμενα ήταν να σε δω εδώ!!!
I can't believe someone had the audacity to say this guy was a bad interviewer. He managed to get Casey Neistat to actually sit still and talk for longer than 5 minutes. That is extraordinary all on its own.
LOL TRUE
I am a kid from Ohio who is currently sitting in front of his computer.
That was the trippiest thing ever.
But do you have a crappy camera from wal mart???
Lewis...I've "never heard of YOU"...and a big Casey fan. Saw this video in my feed.

+Jacob Crow-Mains LOL 55:34
+Jacob Crow-Mains lmao i know, he was like dude..... are you fucking serious, but for real how did he think it only took a half hour, takes that long to upload the footage..... my last vid took me like 2 weeks lol
+Jacob Crow-Mains i was offended when he said that!
his life is editing...
I so much loved this!

He is the one that I'm always looking up to, literally changing my life by just consuming his contents.
This interview is epic.....I was horrified when you asked "What if you had never had kids or gotten married what would your life be like?" I would just like to say that I watch casey everyday after I found his channel and subscribed. I get more valuable advice than anywhere else.
Such an insightful interview. Casey makes me want to upgrade my vocabulary. Thank you for this!

so glad he said 4-9 hrs of editing cause thats exactly how long it takes me and I thought i was going slow.
Yeah, same here.
I think maybe more practice will make you more efficient about it
We need to practice everyday, like Casey.
You can never edit too slow. Perfection is not something that happens quickly!
sgfreak96 Fr fr it's take time
This is probably the best thing I've ever watched on RUclips when it comes to inspiration.
Am half way through.. but had to pause the video to thank you :) Just Inspiring!! Thank you so much.
