My doc recommended me to get a full spine x-ray because I practice martial arts and I've fallen on my back from dangerous altitudes. Lucky for me, everything looked fine, no disc degeneration, nothing.
Suffice to say there's a VERY good reason why learning how to fall is the first lesson and it's also the same reason why you learn techniques in a padded gym from an instructor before trying them out in the wild. For going either is a great way to learn how to eat sht and fail as well as the fact you can indeed break quite literally every bone in your body.
