    figure D: if SSA is congruent to SSA, wouldn't the unmarked sides have to be congrurent - making SSA a valid postulate?

  • @davidmorales2859
    @davidmorales2859 7 лет назад

    Angle Side Side IS possible. As long as the triangles have a right angle, then it will be HL

  • @xX7xKristen8Xx4x
    @xX7xKristen8Xx4x 12 лет назад

    @AngelRestivo because the 2 sides with only one line are congruent to each other, and the 2 sides with two lines are congruent to each other:)

  • @11234Kevin
    @11234Kevin 12 лет назад

    And for d) can't it be HL if there is a right angle sign?

  • @8322dbschooltopper
    @8322dbschooltopper 14 лет назад

    She didn't give an example for the RHS type of congruency. In RHS axiom, there should be a right-angle, a hypotenuse and a side.

  • @whosan37
    @whosan37 16 лет назад

    ..hmm but there is another posibility of congruency right? am not too sure but i think there's one that has hypotenuse in it..but am not sure

  • @CDolph296
    @CDolph296 15 лет назад

    It only works on a right triangle, and is therefore known as the HL postulate.

  • @AngelRestivo
    @AngelRestivo 12 лет назад

    You showed S-S-S, S-A-S, A-S-A. What about R-H-S (Right angle - Hypotenuse - Side) and A-A-S (Angle - Angle - Side)? When there are two right angle triangles and both of their hypotenuse and any other one side is congruent, then the triangles are congruent. This is R-H-S. And when there are two triangle, both of their any two angles are congruent and the opposite sides of any one of those congruent angles are congruent, then the triangles are congruent. This is A-A-S.
