I have refilled my cartridges for the second time and on replacing them in the printer it's saying that it doesn't recognise them and saying that the cartridges are empty and can't be recognised. Can somebody help please.

the syringe must be big or it can be small that are used when we are sick can this be used to refill
You can use any syringe. Not a problem.

Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software. You could also have damaged it somehow whilst refilling.
How do you know how many ml to put into the cartridges?
20 in the large black and 10ml in the smaller cartridges

Yes the black cartridges both take the black ink.
