It's what causes depression that's the problem. And it never changes or gets better. You can't take constant abuse from family, coworkers, and so on. That's what causes depression. Medication is worse than being put in a comma. So when you peel this onion, you'll find that society is so dysfunctional and messed up that "the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness" envisioned when this country began isn't possible. And that's depressing.

Like Metallica, Guns & Roses, Alice in Chains, Ratt, Rage Against The Machine and KISS. His favorite band was KISS. I haven't gone down to his garage since two years ago. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2019 from accident. 1973 - 2019. He will be missed.

I've always loved this song the lyrics have such a deep meaning to them. As I listen to this today I go back to when I was first dating my children's father sadly he passed away almost 2 years ago. I miss those days with my little buddy. Today's Mothers Day, he's 28 years old, living his own life and doesn't talk to me as much. When my younger and only brother, who I was very close to, committed suicide on Jan 19th 2012, I didn't have the radio on for days. Finally, on the day we left the funeral home, I turned on the radio for the first time in a while just to break the silence. "Shine" had just started playing. The words were perfect... I like to think it was meant to be playing just at that time. RIP Rob. I love you.

Before my Grandfather was killed in an accident, he showed me this song and it’s all we would listen to together. I can’t listen to this song without crying and just thinking about all the memories we made singing this song together. I’ve been missing him a lot here lately and thought I’d listen to this. That might’ve been a bad idea because I’ve been crying for the past 30 min. This is honestly an amazing song, and the fact that there are so many great memories listening to it makes it even better.

I believe it's what you make of your life. If you work at McDonalds and live in a $500 apartment, you're in hell. If you married a rich guy and get to hang out in Manhatten and do coke all day, you're in heaven. Thoughts are a big part of it but it's hard to be positive when you're living in the McDonalds scenario. I think a lot of people take anti depressants in an effort to numb themselves but I never have and never will take those because they change who you are. I don't want to be complacent with my shitty life, I want to be upset so I know that I need to make changes.
