The thing is, they will not stop. The ones who broke the law and those who completely disregarded the law must be held accountable. Otherwise, they'll just keep doing the same thing. It's not about revenge
Absolutely. They believe in permanent revolution, because they're on the "right side of history". Whenever you hear that phrase you know you're dealing with followers of Karl, Vladimir and Mao.
Accountability and catharsis are not the same thing. We simply cannot go on without accountability. There are real monsters that need to be brought to heel.
Have you considered the case of Xi Jingping? He might just be the most atrocious person in recent times. I think the point of this video is not that he shouldn't be held accountable, but that the way to do it might take serious work. He has needed to be dealt with for a long time and probably won't kick a bucket tomorrow. Anyway, we 'simply can go on without accountability'. We've been doing it. Are you really methodically thinking about what to do next? What's the order for those specific goals? 'Catharsis' seems to me more like the DNC slogan for the last election, like, "we're going to have a joyful time struggling forever to make everyone agree with us." It doesn't matter if most of the world disagrees, as long as we're still alive and reasonable. Any bribed bureaucrats that are killed are too easy to replace, so that's not cost-effective if nothing else. And that might just include people like Hunter Biden. I'd rather do the reasonable things to improve everything. It's still possible to be influential. Many people have come back over, forsaking wokeness or whatever, because of this way of thinking.
“Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and their freedoms." (Robert Heinlein, Starship Troopers)
Justitia is an old soul, goes back to Augustus Caesar. She wears a blindfold because she regards the person of no man; scales to weigh the transgression against her, and the sword in the other hand to execute justice (her sole prerogative). Someone murders someone - what is the weight to counterbalance the weight of a life? 14 years of the murderer's freedom? We no longer have the stomach for justice; we are sub-just / unjust. We cloak this from ourselves by pretending justice equals revenge, and that we are above revenge, when, in fact, we are beneath justice.
Accountability has to be assured, though. For example, the J6 committee all have to be punished with fines, disbarment (for any lawyers), and jail time for some of the spearheading members.
Justice needs to be served. This means a very narrow line needs to be walked between severe punishments through a judicial process for those that knowingly incited revolution, particularly from high positions of public trust and forgiveness granted for the class of indoctrinated and useful idiots. More importantly, books and books and books need to be published to make sure this period in American and world history is documented accurately in detail and required in American schools or it will return even more fiercely than before.
I learned ages ago in English Lit class that catharsis means a cleansing, such as through being washed or extreme mourning and sobbing. But, Lindsay seems to think it's dangerous and about fire and revenge. That's not catharsis. Justice would also bring about catharsis and cleansing tears for people....the average person isn't getting revenge to receive notice and care through juatice....they don't feel like they won....they tend to fall on their knees and sob, release and cleanse. This isn't a weak little girl, this is human and mature.
Accountability Because without it, the downward spiral continues. There’s a reason public capital punishment used to exist. The cause and effect of tyranny to those that would impose it on others.
I could be your grandmother. What you've presented here is a false dilemma. I've been following you. I really was impressed by your intellect. However, you did not identify the enemy, not once. We were subject to the greatest scam in history; the biggest assault on our freedom; we may never recover mentally. Would you not identify the perpetrators of this enormous crime? Would you not celebrate if the perpetrators were found guilty and executed? The millions who were murdered? Maimed? Let's be adults? Cowardice is somehow equal to being an adult? Or... you act on behalf the Ourobouros?! Masonic wizardry.

Catharsis is a psychological concept that makes hydraulic metaphors for emotions. It does not seem that this model describes reality. Human emotions do not get contained, repressed or released in a way that conserves their overall volume or quality. They can be cooled down or fired up at will. We don't need catharsis.
