2:11 Hng... must... give.... chinese person.... HUG! Lol. Love the face so much and overall the pose _"Leave it to Meiling!!_ ò‸ó _"_ Another classic gem often getting lost in RUclips spaghetti of videos.
I knew Meiling wasn't really necessary for stopping Flandre. I just had her do something useful which was standing at the gate with her eyes open with the rain being a slight punishment.
Flandre only has 1 appearance in a game (Not counting StB because he puts ALL the characters in there), yet she is one of the most popular. Cirno got popular and then she got her own spinoff. WHERES MY FLAN GAME ZUN?
Except that Cirno's been in multiple games while ZUN doesn't have much idea for Flandre. You can do a lot with a stupid ice fairy, you can't do as much with an overpowered semi-unhinged little sister. Although, if you want to play a game with Flandre in it, try playing Touhou Kobuto.
and i actually like rain. sorta. that moment when ur fighting some freak and then it starts to rain. and then he grows powerfuller than you are and he makes you use your full power. rain is beautiful :3
@IchigoArlekin I agree. In melee combat there's no one who should be able to beat Meiling's skill. But even the brutes like Yuka know magic, and that's where Meiling fails.
Wow, can vampires just not leave there house or something? Sun makes them lose all power and/or die, depending on story, rain (and by extension snow, sleet, and hail) all hurt them.
That's what pisses me off. Yandere Alice and "Inferior Chinese Product" Meiling make me want to punch idiots in the head. Canonically, Alice IS a mild tsundere, but she genuinely cares about Marisa. And it's been stated that while Meiling's danmaku is garbage, she's top tier in physical combat alongside Yuka/Yuugi/Suika, and has killed or driven off pretty much nearly all hostiles that've intruded upon the SDM since EoSD aside from Marisa, who tends to just nuke obstacles until they fall over.
@TekiOkami You have a point yes She wants to play. But they have to keep her inside since her power could destroy all of Gensokyo even if she didn't mean to. This is due to the fact she still can't control it. So in a sense the people living in the SDM are guarding the outside from well the powers Flandre has.
@markermage I thought it was more like; shes always wanted to play outside on a nice sunny day and when she gets out of her room, thats the first thing on her mind. so they have patchy use a spell to make it rain, dashing her hopes of playing outside to keep her inside.
@firesniperbullet2 Moving water is a vampire weakness. Just like garlic, crosses, sunlight, not being able to enter a building without permission from the owner, getting lost at crossroads, an obsession with counting, silver, stake through the heart (though what isn't weak against that?), and holy water.
@TheRockMouse Cirn⑨ got her own spin off? Damn, and here I thought I knew lots of stuff about Touhou... well, it's an incredibly big universe the one Zun created along with all of us, his fans, so of course there's no way I can know everything XP
i heard about how vampires cant cross water cause its pure or something, or ocean water cuz it has salt in it, but i think i know why... but... if it was sunny.. then what?
I'm pretty sure it's said in her bio somewhere she's European, actually, so French Remilia makes sense. I sorta viewed her as British for some reason though.
Axel the Hedgehog that can turn Flandre Scarlet to ash. How infinitely creative. Gotta hand it to ya, pal. Almost as good as my creation Dragoon the Immortal Wolf-Demon that dual-wields Soul Edge and Sparda that he modified into gunblades with his ultimate dark powers that he got when he killed Satan but he doesn't remember that because he erased his memory to forget his dark past and so now he will never be with his true love Tifa Lockheart because he feels like a monster crawling in his skin.
PFFFHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! That explains why you still haven't got that I was mocking you. You somehow manage to make even worse than my attempt at slapping every cliche and annoying Marty Stue trope I can think of together. Eight swords. And a fucking hedgehog. You have no idea how hard I am laughing. Your aptitude for names is astounding too.
@firesniperbullet2 I seem to be having difficulty finding that bit about Flandre being immune to standard vampire weaknesses at touhouwiki. Even if it is official, fanworks such as this will usually show the Scarlet sisters with whatever vampire weaknesses the artist/writer remembers. Some will change the severity of the weaknesses though.
1:20 Me: uh..koakuma wth u think u doing? Koakuma: well im always forgotten and nevar evar had any voice in any kind of touhou vid around here...its so sad! i must try somethin new right? Me: uh ye but....tryin to block flandre? u know its flandre right? F-L-A-N-D-R-E! Koakuma: oh shet........
@WatcherCCG That's not true; thanks to fanon petition, Meiling gained her place in the IaMP roster. Let's say that she is a genius in a world that doesn't comprehend her and viceversa, because she is the most powerful martial artist in Gensokyo... but everyone fights with magic bullets.
You think I stole axel from Disney? no. I just took the character concept and put my spin on it. Instead of chimeras, axel's got 8 swords and he's a hedgehog, and the heir to the fire lord, Lire. Plus too, I could not understand what you typed.
but i dont understand why she can't go outside... why are they locking her up everytime? and i thought flandre hated Remilia... just like in grip and break down!! could someone explain to me that? :/
Flandre doesn't hate her sister, quite the opposite actually. The reason why flandre never leaves (even though she technically could if she really tried) is because she loves and respects her sister. Flandre is kept inside because she has the power to destroy absolutely ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Because she has a very poor control over this power (and a slightly questionable mental state) she's kept inside to stop flandre from hurting herself and others. ALSO: Grip & Break down is a FAN MADE video and is completely made up and non canon. Unless ZUN (the creator of touhou) says something about it directly, or if something happens in the games or official manga you shouldn't take what happens in fan made videos as true.
***** Although you don't generally hear about it nowadays, given the makeover vampires have received in recent years thanks to the likes of Anne Rice and *shudder* Stephanie Meyer, but in older lore European vampires had a number of easily exploitable weaknesses: As water was the elixir of life, they and a number of other supernatural entities could not cross running water (to say nothing of holy water). Likewise, vampires had OCD, in the sense that they had to obsessively count small and/or round objects (hence Jim Henson's inspiration for The Count on Sesame Street). This meant one could stop a vampire from entering your house by leaving an open sack of grain outside your door to keep them away; a vampire attempting entry would be compelled to count the seeds until sunrise, at which point they would be forced to retreat to their tomb. Similarly, salt sprinkled around one's bed and potential points of entry (doors, windows, etc.) could keep vampires from entering.
Lol I just noticed Meiling had eyes drawn on her eyelids

W-We appreciate your bravery, Koakuma.
1:25 Patchi is so badass during this scene

poor meiling i feel bad for her left out in the rain
and i actually like rain. sorta. that moment when ur fighting some freak and then it starts to rain. and then he grows powerfuller than you are and he makes you use your full power. rain is beautiful :3
あら感動な感じ!
Two different Flandres on the top comments? She must have used four-of-a-kind
Flandre was scared of the rain because water was a vampire's weakness
poor Flandre... she just wanted to play outside...
*sister hug* too cute :,)
@IchigoArlekin I agree. In melee combat there's no one who should be able to beat Meiling's skill. But even the brutes like Yuka know magic, and that's where Meiling fails.

now im going to my bed and cry myself to sleep ;^;
Hm, interesting, very well done.
I guess Meiling was just a precaution.
So cute, flan just wants to go out and play
Wow, can vampires just not leave there house or something? Sun makes them lose all power and/or die, depending on story, rain (and by extension snow, sleet, and hail) all hurt them.
Which is exactly why ZUN needs to make it. Flandre escapes into our world? Yes please.
That's what pisses me off. Yandere Alice and "Inferior Chinese Product" Meiling make me want to punch idiots in the head. Canonically, Alice IS a mild tsundere, but she genuinely cares about Marisa. Flandre:*awakens*
* Pillar man theme starts playing *
@TekiOkami

Ma pauvre Meiling... C'est que ce passe la de ma vie je m'en souviendrais toujours
@markermage I thought it was more like;

Flandre Scarlet has breached containement.

@firesniperbullet2,
It's Flandre Awakens by SOUNDHOLIC
@TheRockMouse Cirn⑨ got her own spin off? Damn, and here I thought I knew lots of stuff about Touhou... well, it's an incredibly big universe the one Zun created along with all of us, his fans, so of course there's no way I can know everything XP
..... Worth it.
i heard about how vampires cant cross water cause its pure or something, or ocean water cuz it has salt in it, but i think i know why... but... if it was sunny.. then what?
Just when China started to actually do her job, everyone left her in the rain ;_;
Its scary to think about where the other 2 are
this version of UN owen...
I APPROVE ;3
oh thx ^^
I'm pretty sure it's said in her bio somewhere she's European, actually, so French Remilia makes sense. I sorta viewed her as British for some reason though.
@ParanoidNEET Me too... I'm sure this was somewhere else on the interwebs before C80.
Axel the Hedgehog that can turn Flandre Scarlet to ash. How infinitely creative. Gotta hand it to ya, pal.

Because rain is a meanie >m
I could've sworn I saw this somewhere earlier...
sir zero: flandre scarlet, the girl that was locked up for 495+ years. perpare to sleep forever.
You're welcome!
@firesniperbullet2 I seem to be having difficulty finding that bit about Flandre being immune to standard vampire weaknesses at touhouwiki.

Aww, she only wanted to play outside.
yeah, you say that now. But in ten years or so, you'll be one of my subscribers.

Me: uh..koakuma wth u think u doing?
Koakuma: well im always forgotten and nevar evar had any voice in any kind of touhou vid around here...its so sad! i must try somethin new right?
Me: uh ye but....tryin to block flandre? u know its flandre right? F-L-A-N-D-R-E!
Koakuma: oh shet........
ahh, i get it, thanks :)
@NakanoHitori Aside from Hokuto, Hong Meiling is a master of the Sleeping Fist. She's dangerous when she's asleep.
@WatcherCCG That's not true; thanks to fanon petition, Meiling gained her place in the IaMP roster. Let's say that she is a genius in a world that doesn't comprehend her and viceversa, because she is the most powerful martial artist in Gensokyo... but everyone fights with magic bullets.
there is a reason why they go out in the night
Yeah, surely I'll see the light when I'm fucking 32. Dude, I would've still laughed at you ten years AGO.
i like the bit where hong gets slapped >.
Noo..
Flan is tired of sleeping D:
her name is Hong Meiling
Hmmm one more thing i dont get can vampires not get wet or something?
Cuase i do recall on the touhou wiki flan was immune to garlic crosses etc.
I'M annoying? Now that is just dripping with irony.
Poor Meiling? Poor Meiling? POOR MEILIN?!?!? NO! poor Koakuma and Flan D:
Don't you know? This is Remilia's french twinsister!

@AikawaYumekui Thx
Wait... isn't moonlight just reflected sunlight? By that logic, they can't go out at night, either!
Wait, I figured it all out >w
I opened the door for Flandre ;)
なんか小悪魔と美鈴だけ切ない笑
So it seems shes awake
lucario man: she's evil.
LOL Cute and Funny XD
Meiling sleeps with her eyes open?
LOL Poor Koakuma... XD
You think I stole axel from Disney? no. I just took the character concept and put my spin on it. Instead of chimeras, axel's got 8 swords and he's a hedgehog, and the heir to the fire lord, Lire. Plus too, I could not understand what you typed.

What a missed oppurtunity.
but i dont understand why she can't go outside... why are they locking her up everytime? and i thought flandre hated Remilia... just like in grip and break down!!
could someone explain to me that? :/
就是因為她的能力才只能關起來 不是不想放 只是放出來會造成幻想鄉毀滅掉
如果能控制這股能力就能放出來了 可是她不行阿
no idea what she said, translation is broken. basically, when shes out. its fucking rape time
