What is your suggestion? I hope its not menopause. Please pray for me as I wish to have my own baby. Please do reply
Hi Kshitja If the Pills the doctor gave you haven't worked then it is important to go back and let them know, they may need to investigate your missing periods further. Unfortunately, we don't have any remedies that would help with this, sorry.
Thanks for sharing! I’m 47 and never used to spot, but the last two years spotting has increased before and after. And the heavy miserable part used to last for 5 days, now 3. My dark brown hair has been getting golden highlights and I can’t keep up with those lovely silver strands that seem to come out overnight! And the migraines and acne from my teens has reappeared like clockwork the week before. I get the funniest hot flashes…they only affect my ears! Hot, bright red ears for about an hour most evenings 😅 Dr says I’m probably a year or two from the menopause…which matches my mom’s timeline. I know this is long, but I also want to offer some advice… A few months ago I started having debilitating anxiety attacks over nothing, along with migraines at the start and end of my period. I work full time, go to college, and have a family…I just chalked it up to poor coping skills. Tried OTC herbs, supplements, meditation, etc. the attacks just got worse to the point of I was waking up not able to breathe 😢 My Dr gave me something for the anxiety, but I still had the physical symptoms. Went to a psychiatrist and was diagnosed with ADHD. 😮 look up adhd being diagnosed in women going through menopause; it’s a real thing! My boys have it, but I never considered that I could have it. The hyperactivity aspect often manifests as anxiety in adults., and the hormonal changes can elevate mild ADHD into a more overwhelming form. I now take Strattera, which is not a stimulant and has been very helpful. Yes, we women are strong, but it’s okay to reach out for help if things get overwhelming. 🤗
An enjoyable video. I am 56, normal menstruation and not yet showing any signs of even early menopause. I am unable to find anything on late onset menopause; any ideas for why this occurs would be welcome.
Hi Suhsan The average age to start the menopause is approx 45-55, after that it is normally considered a late menopause. Although it is not very common a small number of women can reach their late 50s before the menopause appears! Having a late menopause could be hereditary or the woman could have very high oestrogen levels so it would take longer for any decrease to trigger the menopause.

Hi Jocelyn There could be a number of reasons for this so it is wise to get a proper check up and diagnosis from your doctor first of all. Best Wishes Eileen
Approaching 50 and still having periods so not quite there yet. However I have heard so many negative things about the post menopause stage that I am feeling quite anxious about it. Anticipating that it's going to be quite an ordeal, do you think I am overreacting?
Hi Helen There really is no need to worry; most women will get through the menopause and feel as good if not better than before. I know that I am fitter, healthier and have more energy and drive than I did before the menopause so there is plenty to look forward to. It is a different life but it can be a good one.
Hi Parveen 38 is still a little young for the menopause but it can happen if other close female relatives started at the same age. The only way to know for sure is to ask your doctor for a hormone test, especially if you are worried. Best Wishes Eileen
A.Vogel UK hello and thank you for responding. I went to get a pelvis trans abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound today. Also I had bloodwork done for my hormones . The tech was very informative but couldn’t say much because she’s not a doctor but she did tell me that my endometrial wall was thick and also that I had a lot of fibroids. I knew I had fibroids 3 years ago but now I have many more. As far as the thick lining this I don’t know why my cycle stopped over a year ago and now back again which is abnormal. I know I have alway been estrogen dominance for years and have gained a lot of belly weight. She mentioned D&C possible and endometrial hypersia. I know that’s the wrong spelling. However I would love to treat it all natural and hopefully find a solution to thin my lining . I can’t see my obgyn to go over results not until mid October but if I can do something for the time being o pray I can treat naturally and not have to get a hysterectomy or anything else . Any advice is so appreciated
@@realitychecknuggetswithlad5195 Unfortunately, we don't have any remedies that would be helpful in this situation, sorry; they wouldn't be strong or effective enough to make any improvements. What I would suggest is to seek the advice of a Medical Herbalist, they can formulate a safe and individual treatment plan for you (they have access to more potent herbs than you can get over the counter) with support. They can also liaise with your doctor, if need be, which is important of you are getting conventional treatment. You can find a local practitioner through www.NIMH.org.uk Although most practitioners are still not seeing clients face to face, many are now doing face -time consultations. Best Wishes Eileen
This is difficult to say, sorry, as you can get PMS symptoms without actually getting any periods. Although your hormones may be decreasing you can still have a monthly cycle that give you PMS but just not high enough to trigger a proper period. Best Wishes Eileen

Hi Jackie Although prolonged periods can be quite common on the approach to the menopause, they are not good for you and could cause anaemia. It is important to get this checked by your doctor, they can test your iron levels and also make sure that other issues such as fibroids, polyps/cysts or a prolapse are not contributing to the bleeding. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi mam. I just turned 40. I came to USA 5 months ago. I got my periods twice in a month and now its been over 3 months. I did not get period till now. I was javing hot flashes 2 months ago. Have i got menopause? I had history of cyst and fibroid plus ibs gastritis and gallstones. Kindly🙏 tell me what should i do? I m really worried
Hi Periods stopping and starting or having them frequently is a common scenario approaching the menopause but if you have fibroids then it is important to see your doctor for treatment as these could be a trigger in the bleeding Best Wishes Eileen
Thank u so much im just so confused cause my lab results said post but i have not gone a year without a period .its been six months .thanks again i find your videos very helpful and i will keep watching
Hi Ally When you get to the menopause, your periods stop for ever because the hormones that trigger periods get too low to cause a monthly cycle. Best Wishes Eileen
@@allysanchez5630 the average age to start the menopause is 45-55 and at that point hormones start to decrease for several years until periods stop for good.
Hi! Mrs Eileen I'm 51 years old and had my last period on the 31st of may 2023. Can it be possible to be pregnant at this age? But no pregnancy signs except pain in the lower abdomen
Hi You are not considered safe from pregnancy until you've not had any periods for 2 years! Lower abdomen pain can be caused by a number of issues so it is wise to get this checked by your doctor first. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi If you are approaching the menopause then this kind of scenario is very common. Periods can come and go for a number of years before they stop for good, however, you are still a little on the young side (although it can happen if other close female relatives started early) so it is wise just to check with your doctor Best Wishes Eileen
i am only 30 and i am not married. But since 5 months i lost my period suddenly. Please maam I want to know what is the reason for this..am very much worried..please reply.
Hi PObi Missing periods can be caused by a number of factors such as stress, going on a diet, taking prescribed medication or exercising too much. The best thing to do is see your doctor; they should be able to do some tests to find out what is happening with your periods.
Good evening our lovely mom for the program of menopause,. I have a question? My mom she is 74years old. She has a problem of trembling the hands and depression, what are the food supplements which I can give her, I will be grateful to hear from u. Thanks.
Hi There can be a number of reasons for this but if your periods stopped more than a year ago, it is best just to check with your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen
From last six months I got twice periods in a month sometimes and it's all are normal can I take some medicine evn I was consulted to my Gyenyc she advice for test all reports are ok then why it happens with me 🌹I'm 49 years Indian woman
This is quite common as you approach the menopause and can be caused by fluctuating oestrogen. In this situation, we recommend the herb Agnus Castus as long as your periods are not too heavy or prolonged. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi dear thank you for your reply I got my period this morning is was late this month but I had some stressful events. It’s normally on time. 🙏🙏🙏 many thanks take care
Hi Jennifer Although frequent/prolonged periods are quite common for some women as they approach the menopause they are not good for you and could cause anaemia. This in turn can trigger fatigue, low mood/anxiety, poor sleep and joint aches. It is important to get this checked out by your doctor; they may be able to give you something to stop the bleeding and also check that there are no other issues involved such as fibroids, polyps or a prolapse which may be contributing to the bleeding. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi bisi1980 Missing periods can often be one of the fist signs that you are approaching the menopause but you are still a little on the young side (although it can happen if other close female relatives started around the same age). Other issues can stop periods such as stress, going on a strict diet, doing excessive exercise or starting an exercise programme or even just being extra busy. Have a look at what has been going on in your life these past two months and you may find a clue! If, however, you are still worried, then do see your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen
Am 39 too….have missed my periods for three months …my doctor gave me some pills for 10 days which didnt work …i went back to him …he then gave me another pill as he Said that pill even a 90 year old woman can get periods after 21 days….so i took the pill got my periods this month then my doctor took some blood test while i was having my periods ….so am still waiting coz they gonna also check how many eggs am left with 😭😭😭😭am praying to God to help me….i want One more child 😭😭😭
Hi Sharon, yes it can be confusing but if you are worried at all then please do ask your doctor to explain in more details how these may affect your hormones. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Judith The average age for the menopause is 45-55 but there are a small number of women who have it later, even up to 59! Usually, this is hereditary so if you know the age other close female relatives started the menopause that may give you a clue, however, if you are worried then please do have a chat with your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Merylove If your periods have been missing for 4 years at your age it is best to see your doctor. They can test your hormones to see if you have had an early menopause or if there are any other reasons. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi If you've had heavy periods for a while, it is important to check with your doctor. These can cause anaemia which is not good for you. Your doctor can also check that other issues such as fibroids, polyps/cysts or a prolapse are not contributing the bleeds. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Jane This is a really difficult question to answer as it is different for every woman, sorry. The average age to start the approach to the menopause is 45-55 but if you know when other close female relatives started, such as your mother, grandmother, aunts or older sisters, that can often give you a clue as to when you will start. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Devika Periods can miss for lots of reasons such as stress/anxiety, going on a diet, taking medications or even doing lots of exercise. Approaching the menopause could be a factor too but, for a proper diagnosis, your mom would need to see her doctor, they can test her hormone levels to see what's happening. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Elisa At your age it can take several years for your periods to become regular, so missing periods at this time are very common but if you are worried then please do speak to a female relative who can, hopefully, put your mind at rest.

Hi Sumitra This is a difficult question as it is different for every woman; some will have an easier peri-menopause and others will have an easier menopause, sorry. Hopefully, your doctor has given you iron tablets to help? Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Rosina, If your hormones are still fluctuating, it is best to still use precautions during this time. The best advice is to discuss this further with your GP.
Hi Maries Periods can miss for all sorts of reasons such as stress/anxiety, going on a diet, exercising a lot, being ill or even starting new medication. Best thing to so is keep a diary of what is going on and if your periods don't come back after a few months then do see your doctor for a proper diagnosis. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Sally Periods coming and going like this is really common on the approach to the menopause. This phase can last quite a while before periods stop altogether. However, if you are worried at all, then please do speak to your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen
@@talltalllady if you are getting periods of any kind then there is the possibility of pregnancy, however, if you are not sure what exactly is happening with your periods then it is best to speak to your doctor. They may be able to do a hormone test for you.
Hi Zaara Please do get this checked out by your doctor as soon as you can. Although prolonged bleeding can happen on the approach to the menopause, this is not good for you and can cause anaemia. This is quite common in the menopause. Muscle cramps (and palpitations) often indicate low magnesium so you may find taking a magnesium supplement 150mg twice a day can help. You can also take some Mag Phos tablets, dissolved on the tongue, for swift relief. However, it is important to see your doctor ret he palpitations just in case they are not related to the menopause.

My dark brown hair has been getting golden highlights and I can’t keep up with those lovely silver strands that seem to come out overnight! And the migraines and acne from my teens has reappeared like clockwork the week before.
I get the funniest hot flashes…they only affect my ears! Hot, bright red ears for about an hour most evenings 😅
Dr says I’m probably a year or two from the menopause…which matches my mom’s timeline.
I know this is long, but I also want to offer some advice…
A few months ago I started having debilitating anxiety attacks over nothing, along with migraines at the start and end of my period. I work full time, go to college, and have a family…I just chalked it up to poor coping skills. Tried OTC herbs, supplements, meditation, etc. the attacks just got worse to the point of I was waking up not able to breathe 😢
My Dr gave me something for the anxiety, but I still had the physical symptoms.
Fantastic advice, thank you LemonAvenger!

An enjoyable video. I am 56, normal menstruation and not yet showing any signs of even early menopause. I am unable to find anything on late onset menopause; any ideas for why this occurs would be welcome.
Hi Suhsan
The average age to start the menopause is approx 45-55, after that it is normally considered a late menopause. Although it is not very common a small number of women can reach their late 50s before the menopause appears! Having a late menopause could be hereditary or the woman could have very high oestrogen levels so it would take longer for any decrease to trigger the menopause.
Thanks for this useful information I'm also suffering from my menopause 😊
You're welcome:)

Approaching 50 and still having periods so not quite there yet. However I have heard so many negative things about the post menopause stage that I am feeling quite anxious about it. Anticipating that it's going to be quite an ordeal, do you think I am overreacting?
Hi Helen
There really is no need to worry; most women will get through the menopause and feel as good if not better than before. I know that I am fitter, healthier and have more energy and drive than I did before the menopause so there is plenty to look forward to. It is a different life but it can be a good one.
I am 38 years old and my periods stopped n it's year now I am bit worried
Hi Parveen
38 is still a little young for the menopause but it can happen if other close female relatives started at the same age. The only way to know for sure is to ask your doctor for a hormone test, especially if you are worried.

Unfortunately, we don't have any remedies that would be helpful in this situation, sorry; they wouldn't be strong or effective enough to make any improvements.

This is difficult to say, sorry, as you can get PMS symptoms without actually getting any periods. Although your hormones may be decreasing you can still have a monthly cycle that give you PMS but just not high enough to trigger a proper period.

Hi Jackie
Although prolonged periods can be quite common on the approach to the menopause, they are not good for you and could cause anaemia. It is important to get this checked by your doctor, they can test your iron levels and also make sure that other issues such as fibroids, polyps/cysts or a prolapse are not contributing to the bleeding.

Periods stopping and starting or having them frequently is a common scenario approaching the menopause but if you have fibroids then it is important to see your doctor for treatment as these could be a trigger in the bleeding

This would still be considered peri-menopause as you don’t know yet if they have stopped for good.
Thank u so much im just so confused cause my lab results said post but i have not gone a year without a period .its been six months .thanks again i find your videos very helpful and i will keep watching
I looked it up and menopause happens 12 months without having a period. But how? How can you go that many months without bleeding?
Hi Ally
When you get to the menopause, your periods stop for ever because the hormones that trigger periods get too low to cause a monthly cycle.

If you are approaching the menopause then this kind of scenario is very common. Hi Good night I wish if you can help me I have be bleeding for a month now ,don’t know what to do !!
Hi Jennifer
Although frequent/prolonged periods are quite common for some women as they approach the menopause they are not good for you and could cause anaemia.

Hi bisi1980
Missing periods can often be one of the fist signs that you are approaching the menopause but you are still a little on the young side (although it can happen if other close female relatives started around the same age).
Other issues can stop periods such as stress, going on a strict diet, doing excessive exercise or starting an exercise programme or even just being extra busy. Have a look at what has been going on in your life these past two months and you may find a clue! If, however, you are still worried, then do see your doctor.

Hi Judith
The average age for the menopause is 45-55 but there are a small number of women who have it later, even up to 59! This is a really difficult question to answer as it is different for every woman, sorry. The average age to start the approach to the menopause is 45-55 but if you know when other close female relatives started, such as your mother, grandmother, aunts or older sisters, that can often give you a clue as to when you will start.
