yup.. it's actually weird looking back on it, that they showed that much of the incident before deciding to cut to heli shots of the stadium. I had just tuned in to watch the match, a few minutes later he just drops to the ground. It didn't take that many seconds to realise it was a real serious situation, yet they kept filming for what feels like almost a whole minute. They stopped filming few seconds after they starting doing cpr on him. His eyes were wide open and looked dead. I will be extremely surprised if news comes out saying he didn't flatline, because he clearly did, hense why they also had to give him CPR. There is a reason stuff like that shouldn't be shown on TV. So they should have cut off the filming of 911? That was a serious situation and it went to air live, thousands died, and your upset that they showed medical responders save a mans life during a football match?
The situation was serious, but for me, it showed that the setup at professional football is absolutely top notch from a medical perspective. He would likely have had a random stranger on the phone receiving CPR instructions from the emergency services whilst waiting for an ambulance if that happened in the street, not attended to immediately by trained medics and the situation resolved thankfully with him being revived.
This was for me, both educational and important to be shown, just as 911 was. It doesn't make them easy viewing, and I certainly won't be watching either again, but it still helps me and others to understand the situation better and hopefully learn from. I accept that some people find these sorts of images to be distressing, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be shown.

We are all fans but humans as well, we were together in that moment because of the broadcast. This was real life, this was a moment to come together and I felt we did even more strongly because we were able to see just how serious it was. When someone tells you something happened you can appreciate how bad it was, but when you’ve seen it you feel it so much more - the world was watching and with him, we saw the courage of Kasper who was distraught but put that aside to step up and be strong for Eriksen’s wife, we watched PEOPLE coming together in a time of crisis, to me that was beautiful.

I agree with Adam about all the people mentioned but am still disappointed that then BBC didn’t at least overlay a graphic over the footage while they were waiting to go back to studio. It was bad that someone thought it was acceptable to film Erickson and his partner but it was also wrong that it took the BBC so long to cut away from the footage. It felt like the BBC only cut away once the producers were convinced that the match would be stopped.

Watching that live, not on a TV show or Soap was just horrific. I sat there with my shirt over my face, I didn’t want to turn it off as I wanted to find out if he was going to be okay and what was wrong. Seeing that, that was distressing for me so I don’t want to think what his family and friends would be thinking. Classy words from those involved but the camera shots were simply wrong. Do you know what? This whole disaster reminded me of the film ‘The Truman Show’ where we were the audience watching this event unfold, just like the audience watching Truman. It was absolutely sick what the broadcasters did, i don’t know whether it was Uefa or individual broadcasters but whoever gave the order to zoom in on Eriksen’s face, or his wife’s face, or zoom in so we could see CPR being given, etc, (and make no mistake, someone gave that order and it was cleared by someone to do it) they should be locked up. It was absolutely disgusting, imagine if he had died and his wife and child had those images all over the internet, tv, etc. Not just now, but in a few years, because it will be shown again at some stage. Fair play to both teams, the ref and the medical people because they saved a man’s life today and that is far more important than the tournament.

Filming serious incidents helps to highlight them and add awareness. I know it can cause people distress, but as someone who watched people jumping out of buildings live on TV in 2001, I don't feel this complaint is justified. The gravitas of a situation demands it has air time, regardless if it makes some who are a bit sensitive get upset about it. Could you imagine if they showed no footage from 911 and simply told us an attack had happened? It would have diminished the seriousness of the event. The media coverage, whilst not fun to watch, was important and allowed people to understand the situation better.
