    Based on the 767-200 aircraft. Hard pressed to see the 200 variant in operation these days.

    Immensely interesting to learn, fun for a skinny aircraft nerd who cannot see well enough to drive to watch (your cameras have better resolution). I can remember staring in fascination and awe at them even at age 5! If any of you ever come to central Ohio, give me a hello here on RUclips; this gangly plane lover will show you his impression of a Douglas C-47 Dakota USAAF Cargo-Troop Transport. :) Well, then, a Douglas DC-3 Passenger Airliner! It’s all the same to me!
    At round 10:55, you present an Oshkosh M-978 HEMTT. Several years past had I built a highly-detailed model kit (Italeri) in 1:35th-scale loaded with the six-missile packs for the M-270 MLRS, I had three Dragon kits of that (to build in different iterations of operation and function), though I had been unable to finish them--the rest of that is a lonnnggg story! :( SMH!

    Using highways as airstrips was advanced by the German Autobahn (some of the associated support bunkers are still in place.)

    7:10 is not a KC-46, it‘s an Airbus MRTT.

    • @jonni129
      @jonni129 Месяц назад +1

      @@SkywardSpectatorMSFS I did not say, that this aircraft was operated by the USAF. At 7:10 take a close look at the wings. You can see winglets (no USAF tanker has those) and fairings (no USAF tanker has so many). It clearly is an Airbus MRTT. As you say, the USAF does not operate any Airbus MRTTs, so it is save to assume the aircraft at 7:10 is no USAF aircraft.

    • @abk009
      @abk009 Месяц назад

      no jonni i see you but it is KC, pause the video and check the tail, their shape doesn't match it has curve in the end but airbus has more flat, simple --- shaped curve

    • @jonni129
      @jonni129 Месяц назад +2

      @@abk009 It is definitely an Airbus MRTT. The upper tail does not curve down as on the KC-46, but extends more or less in a straight line from the upper fuselage as with any Airbus model. The retracted center beam does not extend beyond the tail cone (like on the MRTT). The retracted center beam on the KC-46 extends beyond the tail cone. The aircraft has winglets, the KC-46 does not. This aircraft has five big pods under the wings. The KC-46 does not. The proportions (wing to fuselage) are too big for a KC-46 and match those of the MRTT. The video definitely shows an MRTT at 7:10.
