Overrun would be amazing, I've been wanting it for awhile.
That game mode was always slept on because of the hate judgment had!! I’ve been wanting an overrun 2.0 for such a long time
Ew no beast mode with a longer time per rounds, overrun was straight ass
This is literally the only franchise now that I will go all out for. As I have gotten older I have lost interest in so many games and video games in general but always get excited for Gears of War. I feel like a kid again. Been playing gears since 2006. No other game is like it. Can't wait for E-DAY!

Idk how i feel about people can fly joining into the creation of gears of war eday. But i know gears of war eday will not disappoint playing as a younger Marcus and Dom. Hope the game is more challenging considering how hard it was for Marcus to defeat a regular locust drone in the trailer, it would feel rewarding. I also hope coalition brings back the horror moments like how epic games made the 1st GOW when introducing each locust enemy and the torture that civilians and the cog went through right off the bat, It showed how brutal the locust were to humans and builds up the fear of what or whom you may come across to in the game.

Gears Of War is back baby
In Gears Judgment
It had a fair or solid campaign.
The multiplayer
Maps were incredible
Overrun was fun a Horde and beast mode combined.
I hated the mechanic changes such as 2 weapon slots, no DBNO, loot crates/boxes, the 2 piece fist combo, an assortment of nades to spawn with frag,stim,ink
The movement/wallbouncing was very close to gears 3 which is fine.
Gotta love shadow.hope to play against you one of these days🤞
I remember going to GameStop with my dad to pickup gears of war 1 on midnight release or the day after I can’t really remember (I was 4) and me and him played all through the campaign multiple times. I miss those days so much man.

Wait PCF co-developed Gears 1-3? I never heard about that in the 18 years I've been with the franchise. Maybe I just missed that info cause I don't remember anything about PCF in the original trilogy. I never even heard of them until Judgment and I seen anything on them after Judgment.

Hopefully the main thing People Can Fly end up focusing on for E-Day is the skins, because judgement's skins arent even comparable to the other gears games

I'm one of few gamers who loved Gears of War Judgement, so I'm not at all worried that People Can Fly have helped with E Day's development. I just hope that it's released soon

Currently playing through Judgment again but on Insane. I just finished 5 on insane. Judgment is the last one I need to beat insane on. It really is not as bad as people say. I think the game is way underrated. Cant wait for E-DAY!!
There’s some great things from Judgement. Overrun is an amazing mode. (Just needed more options of locust to be like Beast mode) Personally back in the day Gears Judgement imo had very solid/smooth movement for it’s time. I think for me and most people is they changed things that didn’t need to be change. Like weapon swapping with Y. Spamming frags with LB. Also, why in the hell was it Cog vs Cog in pvp? I like Judgement btw. I just think those weird little changes turned people off.
I really hope we get to see the lore of the locust coming up and then fighting the war with the lambet hopefully maybe play as locust campaign missions

Brain dead studios both of them. These are the facts:
Gears of War - 5 million+
Gears of War 2 - 5 million+
Gears of War 3 - 3 million+
Gears of War: Judgment - 1 million......
Lets hire the studio that crashed game sales....
They were the lead in judgement however they were there from the first release of gears of war from the beginning in a support role. They're coming back in that role.
@malcolmsaint well I've read nothing to back up what you've just as true, even watching the Race to E3 documentary, People Can Fly are not mentioned once, Epic published and developed Gears 1 - 3 so I think you're talking bollocks for some weird reason.

Oh no 😬 this will either be great and get some fan favorite game modes back. Or an absolute disaster. Guess we'll find out. Would be better just to hire Cliffy B back to consult for E Day. He actually had some good ideas.
Hopefully they listen to the people that actually support the game. I’m still playing gears 2 lol. No reticle garbage or gunswitch with awkward buttons. Please please please! No human vs human. I’m worried for this game because Judgement SUCKED. the campaign was good but the mechanics were so far from gears 1,2,3 game felt unplayable and totally different.
much hate on Judgment, i kinda liked the campaign and was looking forward for more character backstories. the PvP MP wasnt that great but the other modes were fun.
Epic did the Campaign. PCF did the multiplayer, and it was god awful in the minds of many fans.

PCF made the multiplayer for Gears judgment and it was terrible. People hated it. This is concerning.

Last time these people helped on a Gears game, I hated it.
Considering PCF haven’t made a good game in over a decade and their last title was a total DEI woke flop. This is not good news even though they helped co develop 1-3 and Judgement. The studio likely has been gutted since the original gears series was created & will most likely have a negative influence on E-Day. Call me cynical or whatever but I definitely won’t be pre ordering this game & had much higher hopes until this was announced.
7 years of development for an entire dedicated Microsoft funded game studio is just not enough. Bring in the company affiliated with the worst Gears game

God I hope not, PlayStation ain't giving up their exclusives so I hope Xbox keeps theirs, it's always been that way if you wanna play it get a Xbox and vise versa.
I'd be happy if they canned active reloads like Judgement.

@@gloomykasumi8580actually it was the only good thing judgment did. Active reload is dumb and unnecessary. Makes fights inconsistent in an already desync suffering multiplayer. Not active reload itself. Just the damage bonus. The quick reload reward is enough. damage boost is just dumb always has been.
Edit: I am a complete sweat in this game for context. Damage boost in campaign is fine.

Active reload is the only thing unique to gears ⚙️ removal was death sentence for gears of war . Everything after gears 3 went downhill including sales

That doesn't mean much since they should remember damn well what not to do and they likely aren't doing anything major like he said they are just helping out a bit while the coalition handles the big stuff.

Agreed. I have heard people say that Gears 5 is the worst of them all. It was Judgment. I was kind of excited for E-Day until this announcement.
Key words "co development on gears 1-3" and "lead developer on gears judgment" meaning they are doing what they did on gears 1 -3 not judgment.

@tylercormican955 Judgement was actually good the hate feels forced they were just doing something new with the controls and mechanics but other than that the locust modes were so fun and the campaign was enjoyable especially the aftermath
