Edit ** this is a VERY LONG COMMENT I worked there a few years ago when I lived in Vallejo and it was hands down a great experience!! I miss it and if I lived in California would definitely work there now. Only thing I didn't like was the protestors thinking that the animals were abused which was far from the truth. Truth is that many were rescued like Sarge the sea lion who was shot many times by a man on the Sacramento River fishing. Sarge was bleeding to death and badly injured but a Sargent found him, he had surgery and to this day cannot dive down to catch his own fish due to the hole in his head and he needs to be cared for and fed. He's not abused. He's happy at the park. And Danali, a bald eagle who fell out of her nest, very very high up, as a baby, and surgery could not fix her wing so she has always been a flightless eagle and she wouldn't make it in the sold. But put her back there? To die? The great thing about the job was teaching people about the animals and about conservation. Also seeing all the kids so interested in being in the animal field when they get older was awesome and needed. Funny thing was how many people thought we were hurting the African Penguins bc they thought they were from cold climates but they are from Africa and most of the 18 Penguin species are. I agree with this guy about Kong being the worst ride. I hated it. It actually hurt my neck the few times I rode it. It just jolted me and was very uncomfortable. Superman and Medusa are awesome rides. If you can go to the Halloween Freight Fest nights, absolutely do! It's fun and I personally loved Holiday in the park bc of the Christmas trees everywhere and all of the lights everywhere. They bring in snow and all. The park is beautiful. That river he talks about and shows is a pond which they used to utilize long time ago It's probably very unsafe now and has 2 kinds of bad Algae growing there. It is NOT apart of the park. One last thing, they skipped Shark!! I loved working in Shark bc it's a huge tank over a hundred and fifty thousand gallons of water if I remember correctly with sharks that are so cool and many other aquatic life. There's a puffer fish who loves to photo bomb you. And Maggie a zebra shark who likes kids. Sorry for the long response but I had to do the park some justice as I absolutely love it!! Be thankful if you go on a non busy day bc you'll have great fun instead of a ton of waiting for rides. Do check out the animals. The Tigers are smart and do great shows. The dolphin and sea lion shows are awesome too. Have fun!!
I used to live in the Bay Area and went to SFDK often. It was a hit or miss park operationally at the time. The park would have some great days and also some very bad days. I'm sure now there are more bad days than good days post-pandemic unfortunately. The rides always open late there. Maybe it is staffing/scheduling but I just don't get why they never have many major coasters running at rope drop. At least Joker was running two trains the day you went. The park ran one train on it most of my visits and that line can absolutely crawl with only one train running.
I rode Kong like a month ago and it actually wasn’t very bad, I think it might have been refurbished a little bit because I rode it in August and It was one of the worst SLCs in my opinion.
Im curious what day you went ? We went the opening day of holiday in the park and almost every ride was open except for Kong being shut down for a couple hours.
I’m sure that the animals are used to it by now because when it was made into a Six Flags in 2007 which was a while ago it was kind of bad for them but know they are expecting it plus it literally has not had a new ride for 2 years. So there is nothing to worry about😊
I’ve always had a problem with this park I haven’t ridden joker since 2017 because every time I go it breaks down constantly all day. Also the operations be terrible I just won’t ever visit this park again unless it’s for the animal shows.
@@marlon363 me too, unless they improve it and lower prices, search "The Death of Six flags just got worst" video by attraction ideas, super interesting how the CEO has managed to run six flags into the ground

I’ve been on the boomerang and personally I don’t find it too rough if you brace for it. For me I didn’t hit my head once.

They have to keep roller coasters up to the front because all of the loud noises of the put a coaster in the back would scare all of the animals

This park's reliability issues makes Intamin look like B&M!!!
you going to CGA next?
Unfortunately we didn’t have time to this trip.
Im missing half the creds here bcs of their awful maintenance
Lagoon 2023
This park has really went downhill. It’s very ghetto, staff hates their job, rides never work, lines are horrible, food is disgusting, terrible place
And they keep raising entry prices like crazy without improving the park at all
@@Chris-cx7zk I’m done attending this park. Not even worth it
