I can’t leave this video without saying Thank You. Especially when you show photos of the people concerned so we can get a better perspective on what your telling us.
great work on finding so much of historical interest, behind this video , absolutely priceless, riveting stuff for those of us watching at home. i spent many hours doing this in my time , and a great deal more time rolling film in various record offices, and family history centers, helping others find their loved ones, it was a great experience, and can tell many a tale, but you can't beat the sheer exitement of field work, recording it as you do is of immense value to many many folks, and yes indeed I Have found names who my well have connection to my own family names, as i've watched your video's
You are very right, these places tell stories of the souls that once lived and the history of an area. It is fantastic to see a clean up happening and attempts to protect monuments. Thank you for sharing this.
I am glad that this place is being restored. Twenty children!? Good Lord, that lady deserved a monument all her own! Thank you very much GV, this was a very interesting video. Take care. 😊
Lovely little graveyard steeped in history and well looked after . The little round thing is a bug hotel for insects to live during the winter , I have a square one on my fence. Great video , not a lot of men would get on with their mother in law so I don't know how to take the fact he built a resting place for her 😂 xx
Oh my gosh GV this was awesome. As always thank you for not just telling us the story of this poor woman 20 children I cannot imagine. We have 4 children and that was a challenge. Thank you for the history lesson. As usually what an amazing job
Nice to see restoration work being done ,be great if they clean up the mausoleum thanks GV for another great tour, safe travels, god bless, regards from ballarat in Oz,👋👋🙏🙏👍🇦🇺
That had some unique and very old ones. My youngest is back East in Virginia. She sent pics of my parents’ and GreatGrandfather’s tombstones at Arlington. They’ve put a couple of people between my Parents and my Dad’s Grandfather!! Snuck unrelated in because they’ve run out of space. That was weird to see. Things change. 🤷🏼♀️ Thanks for that video! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks GV for another great vlog, it's always good to see a community coming together to clean and restore this very old cemetery. Please take care and l will see you on the next one ☘️👍....
I have never seen time of death on a headstone. Now I'm thinking of having the time that I was born and died put on mine😂 It's nice to see that they are trying to clean it up and preserve as much as they can.
Hello GV, thank you for this video of the lovely little grave yard. Its great to see that this one is being restored. Interestingly my late Aunt Eileen, her maiden name was Cuffe. and she was born in Ireland. The little wooden post that you asked about is for Bee's, wasp's and insects, I have one in my garden. All my best wishes to you .
Amazing to see all the Crawfords, my maiden name. That was heartwarming ❤😊 There was a Richie Gaul in your video prior, my Mother’s maiden name. Love your videos, so much history and White House too.
That mausoleum seems huge for 1 person GV, he must have really admired his mother in law, (or was pushed by his mrs, lol). The only Martha Cuff I found outlived her husband by over 40 years and is buried in Dublin. She might be your missing wife! Loved the father and son tomb, and all the old masonry carvings. Hope the restoration continues, it will look amazing when finished. Thank you for another great adventure. Deb of Oz XXX
15:22. We make these to accommodate bees mainly wild bees. There is a difference between insects and bee shelters. Made me wonder if this one was left by the volunteers or a beekeeper was buried here.
Very cool to see such old graves. 20 children! Yikes. I have 4 & that is hard enough. Oh, and I very much appreciate history lessons that you provide. I’m more familiar with the history here in America.
Hi GV….what a lovely little graveyard! Packed with so much interesting items and History! Great they are cleaning it up,looks like they are very last minute regarding saving the old inscriptions!! 1700’s! Gosh! That tin with the holes, is, as someone else mentioned a “Bee Box”. I have one in my garden and the solitary leaf cutter bees lay their eggs, leave food, then cut half moon shapes out of leaves ( in my case tree fuchsia plant leaves!) which they roll up and seal the hole with. Some other insects may use, but in my case it’s that bee just mentioned, who sadly goes off and dies so the next generation hatches the next year etc! Fascinating to learn about, and with all bee species in decline, great that someone has put a box there for them! Loving the places you’ve found to visit and take us to GV really been enjoying them all, and your camera work is excellent…good steady hand, so we don’t get dizzy, and best of all you give us time to view and read grave stone inscriptions with you! Much appreciated! Thankyou and Sue for all you do for us! We really do appreciate it! Love and Light! Godbless! Love Helen 🙋♀️🥰💐💕🦋🦋🦋👏🏻👏🏻xxxx
Thanks Helen it really is a beautiful old graveyard. It is as you say very important to read the inscriptions and you the viewer to be able to also. Take care and God bless ❤️🙏
Great video on the nice little small Cemetery with the old church. Hopefully they will use that as teaching method that only about the church and the grounds but about the Cromwell 1649 debauchery of all the churches that were catholic. This way they'll be able to teach people with that gentleman you talked about who died at Christmas Day 1659 and people can learn some history of your area and during cromwell's burning and pillaging.
Hi G V fantastic little graveyard. John Otway O'Connor Cuffe... The Family motto that goes with the Coat Of Arms is " Animus Tamen Idem" or " But The Mind Is The Same" The Crest is a white background with a black diagonal zigzag charge with 3 Fleur De Lis with 2 blue diagonal lines with 3 gold dots on each blue charge. Cuffe comes from Old English as to a maker of gloves. Thanks for the visit GV.
I made a mistake during the premiere chat. Phoenix AZ set a record of 26 straight days of 110 degree heat, not Tucson. Sorry about that. Great video again!
It's a nice graveyard and if they correct the Graves in the old church it would be wonderful. The Earl only uses his wife but he could not remember his poor wife.😮❤❤❤

There's an epitaph on a monument that intrigued me as a child. Look and see as you pass by as you are now so once was I. As I am now so you must be prepare for death and follow me. Unfortunately the monument has been removed and replaced with a gas station. Thank you for your videos. Columbus Ohio.
20 children? I can’t believe this woman didn’t suffer a prolapsed uterus at the very least! It’s so strange to me, how some women can die, trying to carry their first pregnancy, but some women can give birth to over 10 children and still live.
That's a bug house that strange object my son was bought one for his birthday it's for bees to put their eggs in. 20 children crikey one is enough for me 😮
I loved this little chapel of rest. It must have been all about him! 😳😲😂 He didn't see fit to include his wife on the monument, how disappointing is that? She gave him 20 babes but thought nothing of putting her name with his. Self-important man! 😮😳Beautiful place all the same. Nice to see they have been clearing the graveyard. It does look nice. I'd say something about Cromwell but I think not!
Vey interesting about the carpenter and the church being first Catholic, then Protestant. If you ever read a headstone with the surname of Rooney, I'll pass out.😊

Small places can be so much more interesting and the discoveries can be beautiful. Please continue what you do it is very much appreciated.
Thank you, I will 🙏

Hi Anita welcome to the channel 👍 Ireland is very old rich in history
The wooden thing is a ‘ bug hotel’ insects crawl inside the holes to hibernate etc it creates a safe environment for them
I think the item was a Mason Bee house. Great video.
Think the thing toy thought was a bird feeder is a bee/ bug house seen them here in Australia, not sure the bugs use it them lol ,amazing to see these really old graves
The little log on a post, 15:15 with a roof and holes, is a home for bugs.
Not a bird feeder, but a home for bumblebees 😊
The round thing on a stick is an insect house ,we've got one
The little thing with holes, bees, wasps, definitely insects of some sorts or all sorts .. to spend the winter in 😊
Great idea!
The holes in it remind me of carpenter bee damage
There's an epitaph on a monument that intrigued me as a child. Look and see as you pass by as you are now so once was I. As I am now so you must be prepare for death and follow me. Unfortunately the monument has been removed and replaced with a gas station. Thank you for your videos.

The round wood thing with the holes in it on the post is a bee house. I’m not sure what kind of bees though.
Sad that the woman didn’t even get a mention on the stone after risking death in childbirth at least 20 times!
