Arch has really dialled back (pardon the pun) the abuse these days. Five or six years ago he would have gone to town on this collection, labelling at least half of them as SHITTERS!
A good start for sure! At only 35, there are many years to keep evolving this collection. More Panerai definitely needed! Though I might be biased given I have far too many of them. I'm surprised Archie didn't advocate for another Rolex. I could see a Sky Dweller fitting into this collection. A little bit dressier piece, with a high complication kicker.
@@Jack_CageEither dial variety will do as long as it's all original. Why? It's aesthetically pleasing + It's the last vintage reference that's accessible and completely functional. Absolute sweet spot.
@@AIKXXVIIthank you very much for your answer. As much as I love the Red 1680 it’s too delicate for my lifestyle. I do not like plexi-glass and the non-quickset date wheel is gruelling if you haven’t worn it for a while and have to set date. Every watchmaker I’ve met never guarantees the water resistance on 70s Subs even with the gaskets replaced and full service to boot. So to me, it’s more of a dress watch that comes out on special occasions. A modern Sea-Dweller, Sub or GMT is perfect for me. I’ll leave the vintage to the serious collectors out there. I take it you go for vintage Rolex over modern?
That my friend is utter bollocks!check out how big SEIKO is before you make such a ridiculous statement and then check the full range they do Inc the GRAND SEIKO range proberbly one of the most accurate movements in the world!!as far as pricing is concerned they are unbeatable for quality and reliability and they are assessable unlike some brands!!

100% agreed! I was expecting him to call shitter on both Seikos and the Nomos! Bless him, he’s been very kind on this occasion :)
Seiko is dog shit.
Amazing review, Paul! Thank you very much for your very kind words, advice and recommendations. I wish you all the very best :)
Gotta love this guy everything is rare 😂
Nomos is a shitter… ditch the tuna and you have a perfect 6 piece combo.
He paid bucks for an 8 space box. Ditch the 2 you mention for 2 more Rolex & job done.
Right. Nomos and Seiko are both dog shit.
That Nomos is nice actually
This guy watched too many hodinkee and turban gentry episodes…
Right😅
While casually grazing
Lol! If that were true there’d be a lot more crap in there. Squale, Tissot and an Islander or two.

This collection is thinner than the Satan de Ville character.
Man, this punter doth rabbit, fmd Jack. My poor ears.
Add Tudor and Rolex
Sell them all and get a 1680 Sub.
Very interesting. Red or White 1680? And why?

@@Jack_Cage Solid reasons but to me there's a certain charm to all said imperfections. I appreciate modern pieces but I have the vintage bug for sure.
Thats just a complete RUBBISH statement!!
Phirst phist!!
Seiko is dog shit. This brand is beneath you Arch.
