    AP is clean but for that kind of design go JLC or even Omega etc as it really is not an AP DNA design. The VC is pretty nice but I'd get a (slightly) more modern Patrimony. In fact, given the guy is not a big suit wearer, I'd recommend he gets a Rolex Oyster with a leather strap. Classy but sport and much, MUCH better resistance to rain than some of the others he was asking about.

    Think you are right these dealers selling the buckles in the trade to get a small margin! What about Blancpain dress watch? Not prestige but modern build. Interesting comment about Memovox parts makes sense and rather supports owning bigger production watches such as Rolex or Omega.

    I’m not so sure Arch is up-to-date on the latest pricing trends for these types of vintage dress watches. They aren’t terrible prices and I am sure you could put in some offers.
