    I am inclined to believe that you'll like the sunny Florida weather at this time of year. Now once every 10 years. Florida does get down to two days of freezing temperatures. Just to give you a heads up. Don't want you to have severe flashbacks that you're back up north.

      We took a little bit time off and fix the boat. We did both water systems and water maker is as well “almost ready”. We will show it when we test it in the clean salt water. I learned to play my ukulele better and read tons of books when we had our self made vacation. 😄
      Ted is very innovative man and what he does not figure out himself, he reads in sailing books and then merges the ideas he reads with his new ideas together to make it even better:) He use to be super tech and operator with robotic camera systems in Showbiz.
      Thanks, Helena:)

    Helen....the sling is very very very hard to spear fish with and takes forever to become any good with it. The guys with you have likely been using a sling since they were kids!......... i suggest you two use an actual spear gun so u don't have to hold the "compression" with your hand and can just trigger the spear with a finger. Much more accurate and fun experience.
    I'm so glad...I'm so glad...I'm glad.... I'm glad......I'm glad. (What a Song).....Glad that you are back with more videos......with more on the way ....and sailing Soon. So soon ...so soon ...so soon!......OM.

      Thank You so much! We have both speargun and spear sling. Some countries don’t allow spearguns and you hunt with a sling. We will get good in both of these skills:) That would be the goal. I choose the sling because speargun felt even heavier and it was easier to use it around the rocks. Thanks for watching. :)

    Happy New Year. Keep a close watch on the new RO unit. You will go through tank water quickly when for every glass you drink at least two goes overboard.

    • @SailingLiberty
      @SailingLiberty  Год назад +3

      Hi Mark
      Presently we fill our tank with municipal water via a hose, on the sea we intend to fill er up with our new RO de salinization system (to be featured in an upcoming episode) or even rain water.
      Subsequently the bypass water that you are referring to is not so bad especially from the desalination system or rain water …so we don’t put the bypass water overboard, after all it’s gone through particle and two activated charcoals filters, we send it back to the tank! Perfectly good for washing etc.:)

    • @markbernier8434
      @markbernier8434 Год назад +3

      Glad to hear you have the desalination unit coming on line. Makes my comment about waste moot. I would not return the bypass water to the tank it is contaminated with whatever you are trying to filter out, chemical or biological so returning bypass to the tank just increases the concentration of contaminants.@@SailingLiberty

  • @johnbigglestone6416
    @johnbigglestone6416 Год назад +2

    I l enjoy you channel every episode. But watch out for that shelf. The upper screw on the bracket will be in tension unless the centre of gravity of the tanks on it is close to the back of the bracket. The static tensile force on the screw will be the weight of the tanks x the distance from the back of the bracket. This will increase if the boat is being thrown up and down by heavy seas
    Would some extra brackets help?

    Said it twice,maybe three times, HELEN make a cookbook!!!

    • @SailingLiberty
      @SailingLiberty  Год назад +2

      Thank You for liking my cooking first of all!:) I already purchased 12 colorful plates for the cookbook. Second set of white plates arrived broken and I haven’t reordered them yet. Have to do that before I start. I am looking now into how I can design book online recipe by recipe myself. So I can do it page by page on the go. There are of course companies like amazon who can help with the design but that would cost me coupe of thousands minimum and I cannot afford spending so much money on a book if the boat is not ready. And then I think I make it more like diary or bringing a bit of our life on the boat to the book as well. Have to think about how I photography the food... and how to set design them. The colors, the mood, materials and background. Food photography is very technically difficult and hard to get a perfect result. I use to photography sushi for my friend’s restaurant and it was one of the hardest things I have done. And of course I have to time the process of cooking and the amounts of food for the recipes and buy the produce. It will be a huge and costly undertaking. Maybe I get it done if I really work on the book and our channel does well to afford it, earliest before the Christmas this year to have 100 recipes with 2 pictures for each recipe. But with making shows as well and editing taking a lot of my creative energy... it is surely a great idea I hope I can deliver. Thanks, Helena

    Yes, a rough introduction to spear fishing but she made the best of it. It definitely is the most reliable way to get fish once you get the hang of it. There's a guy named Plucky on RUclips that shows the best lessons on spear fishing....

    • @SailingLiberty
      @SailingLiberty  Год назад +2

      I will check out Plucky. I want to get better. Waves were pushing me against the rocks. I was having hard time pushing myself off the rocks while tumbling around. I have to do some serious workout to get stronger core and upper arm muscles. We are doing 3-4 times playground exercises like 15 minutes but obviously it isn’t enough. Holding and constantly lifting the spear sling was getting tiring and I was pushing through it only because I use to be long time cross country skier and boxer in the past. Next time I will do it much better.
