Pass on the ring for that price. I feel like there is a gap in the market for a watch that's Basically for notifications and not much more. Many people including myself only wear a smart watch to see text, email and who is calling. Something maybe between £99.99 and £149.99
Exciting product. A newer model with more capabilities, like NFC and vibrations alerts and the same or better health features as the watch will make it a definite buy for me
Nice job on the comparison! I've been looking at the Ultrahuman Ring Air too-it offers more colors and sizes than the Samsung Galaxy Ring. How do they compare? Will you be doing a comparison?
Loved seeing the review! I see that Ultrahuman Ring which has been on the market for a year is a better subscription free alternative given it is compatible with IOS and Android and is priced lower. Can you do a comparison of these with the Galaxy Ring?
@@jdmz1103 I have the watch 6 classic and I find it difficult to sleep in, I'd prefer something less intrusive like this and have the option of wearing one of my other watches
Galaxy ring seemed like a product for smart watches hater like me Till they priced it a 400$ and mandated a sizing kit for every potential buyer I hate to say it but it’s a DOA
the problem is...Oura seem to matrix data really well for novel insights. I'm pretty sure that Samsung know they can't charge a subscription as they will not match rolling out new insights and that allows them to be lax and just introduce new features twice a year at both Unpack events..I could be wrong
I have the oura Ring for a year now. Their metrics are good and relatively accurate. I was looking at Galaxy ring coz they don't have subscription, but from what I read, seems they don't support energy score without a Samsung phone. If that's the case, I will continue using oura. (Pixel fold user)
Bro, samsung or any manufacturer for the fact, does this on purpose. None of these are shipping yet but they have reviews. These reviews are literally written by samsung (samsung writes for samsung products, apple writes for their products, etc). Think about it, most of the reviews are talking about the watch ultra or the ring. None talk strictly about the watch 7. Clearly they want us to either spend $900 on the ultra or 400 on the ring. The watch 7 isn't even their focus. I still pre'ordered the 7, i got $100 off which im happy with. These guys aint fooling me.
I mainly want it for sleep tracking. I can't wear my watch to bed, it's too uncomfortable.

The nothing watch maybe?
The "watch pro 2" i've heard its good
Look into cmf watch pro 2. Just $69.
Check older watches, galaxy watch 5 or even 5 pro are now "afordable"
@@mauromunoz4170 just looked into it, not bad I like the 11 days battery life.

The price for thr ring is a little to expensive. 199.99 would be the ideal price for me to consider and ie purchase.
Personally, galaxy ultra looks better than apple watch ultra.
If it was 200, id get it. But not for 400
Unlike cheaper rings, there's no monthly subscription
@DSP720 yea I know, still not worth more than a watch lol

Does the double pinch to take photo works on all android phones ?
No, only for flip
Can you wear the ring on any finger? Or only the pointer?
yeah you can wear it on any finger, as long as it fits lol
Yes you can
Also any right or left hand ?
@@lyesz1629Either left or right
Can wear on toe too

The watch has the same night mode like the ultra?
Yes
Excellent coverage.
Under 100 with edu special when upgrading from the watch 6. Excellent deal.
I paid $230 for galaxy ultra
@@GoodGuyGoneGreat that's real good. What did you trade in? Also did you have student discounts or other discounts?

I've always wanted a health tracking device that attached to the calf. I don't mind the chest straps, but battery life sucks.
Would you pick this over the Oura?
Only if it has no subscription.
Yes. Oura has a monthly subscription fee. So I am gonna get the Galaxy ring instead.

Oura is gonna die eventually, once Google and Apple join the game.
Showing watch, writing watch and fking describing ring only!!
