Hey, guys. I'm from South Korea, and I watch Knee's streaming whenever he goes live. After he came back from BAM, he shared us some stories behind choosing Negan. His teammate Infested suggested Knee that he should face Chand (Leo) with Negan. Infested told Knee Negan can dodge Leo's attacks better than any other characters. Knee took his advice because Infested uses Negan as his main champ these days, and he has faced Leo a lot (like PTJ, the best Leo user in South Korea). What's more, Knee also suffered a lot from facing PTJ and lost several times but Knee has never used Negan against PTJ's Leo.

@sargaa8471 Knee already had been using Negan in ATL (the main Tekken tournament in Korea) and won many important games. I think Knee knew that he couldn't beat Leo with his offensive skills, so he used Negan to focus on counter attack.

Shoutout to Markman, still incredibly good commentary so many years later. All-time goat commentator for Tekken 7 in terms of consistent high-quality. Knee played incredible here, but so did Chand. It's always hard to meet Knee a second time, any element of surprise you may have had is gone, and he will likely be able to counterpick you. Part or what makes him such a fan-favorite.
