Thanks for the kind words. She will definitely be on when we're doing things like the rack opinion and the 3 link and the 64 Falcon hardtop. But she's also expressed some interest in doing other things on Autorestomod so you never know.
I'm pretty sure she will be, we have a rack opinion and a 3 link rule suspension to install on this car and she wants to be involved in all of it. How cool is that?
The owners are such nice people, I really enjoy helping out folks that have something worthy of being placed on an old car. RRS is just one of those components.
Slick system, I love how it will play nice with much of the stock components. It would help a fella to be able install the base part of the system and upgrade other pieces later, especially if it’s a pay as you go project, it’s not all or nothing. 👍 oh btw, I am glad she said it, because we’d be in the dog house for sure.
Yes, it's one of the things I really like about the RRS product that's product. Having that ability to just do 1 or 2 components at a time period do the strut now, do the rack opinion later, it all works to the end. When Diona said that about "it's so easy your wife could do it" I wanted to look around for the non existent HR person here at our shop lol.
@@RealWorldGarage yes sir, someone has to keep these guys in check lol in all reality tho, this stuff is fun! Many gals would love if they give it a chance 💪💯💃

Hopefully I can get back out that way and do a tech spot with Jeff, and with what I’m seeing from you we could film it and let Jeff sit in the directors chair. 😂
Thanks! It's one of the nicest systems out there in my opinion. Right now my top 3 suspension solutions are RRS - USA, Street or Track, or Open Tracker Racing.
Jeff, I just finished installing the RRS in my 65 Mustang. It was not too complicated and at this moment I am in the process of setting camber. You did mention that you will oritect the strut tower with a cover, could you share where to get them. Appreciate your reply and also your assistance as I was doing the installation.
So now that Claudia has seen this setup she wants one for "her" 67 fastback (I thought it was mine considering I bought it before we met). But she wants to install it with Diona.
Great video!! RRS needs to post their prices online tho and they would sell more in the US. No one wants to submit quote to eventually get a price. This is 2022 not 1990.
Huh...I had no idea the Ackerman on the Falcon-Chassis cars was a better match for the wider track and longer wheelbase of the Galaxie. That's really strange since they're totally different chassis. While manual steering could get really heavy, modern tires like a lot of caster. The RRS set up is really nice.

You should definitely have her on more shows. She is a great addition to the show!! Oh and can you add a segment when you drive it after it’s all set up and aligned ? Please.
For the 64 fairlane where would you gets parts for it I cant find the other video but it was menards for a 04 gto but the gto is 5x120 and the 64 is 5x114.3
The brakes were picked by RRS as being the best set up for the application. And they offer a huge amount of different breaks. Because they went with the hub system (again for efficiency and better performance), you can't use your standard disc brakes from your spindle style system.
We might have indeed lol. The reason I used that rotor was because the one that I was going to use on that side had my rusty fingerprints all over it and it looked bad. I do know that RRS does not dictate side for the rotor.
Thanks for that vote of confidence! I must say tho, Jeff and Cam are The Show-the Masterminds, if you will, could Not do ARM at the current level without them Both!!!
Couldn’t just make wire clips to hold them in tight to the caliper. I used to use hangers to clip over the space in the pads. I didn’t see if there was a gap in the pads. But maybe you can do it to the backing plate?
Definitely have her on more, the chemistry is really good and makes for an enjoyable show. Thanks for another great video.

That is a really nice system. And yes, have Diona on more often. It's always fun to watch attractive ladies who can and will work on our older cars.

Engineering beauty. So glad you partnered up with them to do this here in the US. My 65 Fastback loves em, and the handling is off the chain!

Ms Ford is going to be really happy when her car is finished.
Mr. Ford will be also. 😂
So happy to see your wife in an episode! I’d love to see more women working on cars, so lead by example!
It was really awesome working with her on the car. She's so much fun to do this kind of stuff with I enjoyed a lot.
Thanks for the video. That system opens up some options for early Mustang/Cougar. 😁
With the shock tower notching kit that is available a Coyote is even doable for an early Falcon.

The driving sequence is definitely gonna happen. Will probably have everything put together and done within the next 2 months.
Since this was put on 8 months ago, do you have any updates on how it has performed?

Can you run factory steering like a v8 steering on a falcon
looks like if you convert to their suspension you have to convert to their brake setup as well?
Correct. I'm sure Jeff can add more techeze to that!

Does anyone know if the Shelby export brace can be used since the RRS strut caps are different? I would really like to keep it.
Did you use the driver side rotor? Thought the slots should be center to outer as the rotor turns going forward.
We might have indeed lol. The reason I used that rotor was because the one that I was going to use on that side had my rusty fingerprints all over it and it looked bad. I do know that RRS does not dictate side for the rotor.
Does this kit allow you to fit a wider tire
Within limits, yes. The chassis is more the problem than the suspension
I've been trying to get a kit for my 1966 Mustang, but they won't reply..
Whataaat... a Camber Gauge phone app???
I would just call that a close enough gauge lol.

Too bad they don't make something like that for the Galaxies. Speaking of the Galaxie's, you need to get working on yours.
We have been, over at manic mechanic we are doing a lot to it as far as floor pan repairs et cetera.
