    just want to say I just installed the Street or Track Coilover suspension, and I can't wait to get my 67 notch back Mustang out of the garage that it has been in for 20 years. Just keep chipping away and what next needs to be done. It was very easy to install and looks great! Thank you for what you all do!

      Also I let Street or Track know I found them because of you.

      Also I got the new Shelby Drop that built in to the upper control arm so no drilling don't want to drill my shock tower's. There in great shape.

    I have watched dozens of your instruction videos over the last couple of years and love them. However, they all seem to miss the part at the end where you drive the car afterwards and review the upgrade. It would have been very valuable to see you guys driving the car at the end of this video and getting your honest opinion on the difference that it made.
    But anyway, keep up the good work.

      Had the engine not ditched on us when Cam was driving it home we would have. Sadly, he hasn't had the money to get it back on the road yet.

    You guys have great videos. Helped me a ton redoing the interior of my 67 Fastback. I have the Street or Track Coilovers for several years. Those guys make killer products. At some point I will be replacing the rear suspension as well

    Great videos. Does the spindle on a 66 C code have to be swapped to a different one to convert the front drums to disc?

    I have a question, I am upgrading my front end suspension on my 1965 Ford ranchero from 6 cylinder to v8 Granada suspension. I’ve installed everything, however, when I put in the drag link, it leaves the spindles cock eyed. I can’t get the spindles to straighten out. What am I doing wrong? I had initially purchased a longer drag link but returned it and purchased a shorter one and still have the same issue. I’d appreciate any help.

    • @AutoRestoMod

      Its the Granada spindles. I'd recommend looking around on the net for the fix.

    JEFF. AND OR CAM, 2questions for either or both of you, i am building a 69 fairlane 2 door formal roof, first question is can i use the shelby drop kit as you showed for the stang on a fairlane. as they are basicly the same car, or is the geometry all different?question 2, why did the mustangs have exort braces, and the fairlanes not? was it just a performance upgrade as a rear sway bar? thanks regards . b. bergman

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  7 лет назад

      Yes, you can do the Shelby drop. But, refer to the videos we did on doing the drop a while back: ruclips.net/video/gVugDqaUW9M/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/BTZUSWtMl0s/видео.html
      The Fairlane has more welded bracing than the Mustang. The engine cross memeber is welded in, and there are braces under the fender aprons that extend from the firewall to the radiator core support. Under VERY hard driving the export type brace might be helpful, but I've not seen it done on many of the Aussie cars (they used that chassis for many more years than we did).

    Hey Jeff how are you and Kim I saw the video you? Did it a couple of years ago and that's street. Track? Suspension except I just left you a message today it's 5/2/23 About that suspension I have a sixty five Falcon and I want to upgrade the suspension. I want to know if it will it ride the same? I want them the car to ride stock height with the ass of the car level with the front. No squad.. Is They are a better suspension out there for this application. Or is this the one that really seems to work well? And if you did get to try it out. I didn't see that video thank you so much sorry for the long read

      Hi Steve, I will be calling you tomorrow regarding this. Sorry for the delay. I Like Street Or Track and RRS. Both deliver a quality product that will improve your car's handling. As for them riding like a stock Falcon, I would say that both will be more like a modern Sports Sedan.

    Is there a kit like this for a 62 Falcon?

  • @6ford9

    Does the Shelby drop plate and the suspension your showing work on a 64 fairlane?

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  4 года назад +1

      No. The early Fairlane is an animal unto it's self.

    14:22 wouldn't this have the top of the wheel further out, hence positive camber?

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  4 года назад +1

      Camber is completely adjustable. and we have zero camber right now. Positive camber is is the top of the wheel out, our is in thus negative camber.

      thanks for the fast reply. i was just wondering what was going on with the truck. i am restoring both a 1967 Mustang Coupe and a 1967 f-100. do a little work on the Mustang then do a little on the f-100. so hopefully they will both get done. just a bit of info. that i learned today. Street Trucks Magazine is putting out a Ford f-100 builders guide. they say it will be on the store shelves Sept. 12, 2017. their mag. seems to be more chevy stuff than anything else.

      Crown Vic works great for the F100, but the track is more narrow on the Mustang.

    How about spending 600 bucks to fix the shock towers BEFORE you install a 2500 dollar suspension system. Kinda like putting Lipstick on a pig.

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  4 года назад

      Well, we didn't realize the extent of the front end damage until we got there. And that is $600 in parts and does not account for time removing welding ect. In a perfect world we would have done the repairs first (had we known how bad it was) but this car is only one of our projects and the budget was blown on suspension. The nice thing is the suspension helps reduce stress on the shock towers too.
