What I like is that they did show the difference in musical style between this song, written by Koyuki in the story, and songs written by Ryusuke like Face (Sister) and Slip Out. IMO, Ryusuke's songs sound like songs that fit in Oasis era, while this song sounds more like from Simple Plan era.

Alright this does live up to the hype of Baby Star With that said I'm glad there's no S2. There would be NO WAY to musically represent the magic of Devil's Way. It would just sound as good as you picture it to be. Also now we're in 2019. While some of Beck's songs are fucking great, they DO SOUND like alt rock songs that would be released in the mid 90s to mid 00s. A S2 would need a complete change of their sound.
But wasn't Beck written (and canonically set) in the early 2000's? I think that alt rock music definitely fit in for the time. It's really good music as well (I feel like this one predicted what Foo Fighter's "Walk" would sound like in 2011).
I know this comment was made a long time ago, but I'll reply anyway. it's because this song was supposed to come up later on in the show. Unfortunately we never got to see what happens next in animated form... which is why you never heard it. 10 years later I still wish they made a second season. All we can do now is read the manga (for those who didn't, it's so worth it, the ending got me all emotional lol).
If you're listening in the last episode when Taira is telling the members of Heroes that he's going to go back to beck, you can hear it playing faintly in the headphones.

Koyuki Made a melody of the song and slip out lyrics is written by Sato tanabe , ryusuke just change two word that has same meaning as slip out
