I could add a very long comment, so I will shorten it. I was introduced to stripin’ by Ron, in the Cincinnati, Ohio area in the mid ‘70’s. Every weekend two houses up from my parents, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, 4x4’s, Or Bikes we’re at this English teachers house.he striped every car my older brother owned as well as my ‘79 Trans Am. So fun to watch. Should have had him teach me. I want to learn how now! (@61 yrs of age.) Sadly, Ron had a terrible stroke that took away the right side of his body. He tried to come back using his left hand but eventually died from everything going on. Thanks for the lessons! I need to order a beginners pack from Eastwood. Thanks for putting this on the ‘tubes.
My collision repair teacher just told me to watch the first video to get an idea of what to do but I ended up binging the whole thing! Seriously mesmerizing stuff
Thank you Kevin and Eastwood for hosting Mr. Harris on this. It was truly mesmerizing to watch him work. I need to get my brush out and start practicing.
I've never had a video that caused my head to move with a brush like this one did. Thank You Mr. Harris for sharing your art of Pinstriping with us. God Bless
Thanks Eastwood, Rick and Kevin. I've just started striping in Australia and this three part series was very informative. I'll keep your store in mind when I need more supplies.
I've been pinstriping/lettering for 40 years and it's always the same thing when it comes to doing a vehicle. By the time you're done, they have a whole garage full of stuff they want pinstriped and you end up being there all day!! What you thought was a couple hour job, ends up being a all day ordeal sometimes. I have a lot of people ask me, "Do you do that free hand?" I just tell them well, this hand (my left hand) is free, but my right hand is $40 an hour!!!

exact same colors on my volksrod. I've been debating painting over it all to do my own. but I might preserve it until I'm confident enough to do it myself
Here in California in 1980 I was a painter and we got a convertible VW in the shop with a shaky pinstripe with damage to the right side, I was able to do the repair without messing up the pinstripe at all and I had one happy customer! The stripper in So Cal that I used back then was Feinberg any body know him?
Hand covered with paint ,ferrule covered with paint. I avoid any paint on my hands. If your right hand didn't have so much paint it could support the left hand. Does not affect the end result however.
Rick Harris is so chill. He is the Bob Ross of pinstriping.

Rick has been a friend for a long time…I never saw him with the 1-shot paint all over him before, or I would have yelled!

Franken Oven is the single best thing I have seen in my life.

Rick Bacon is painting my Harley right now.

When you add hardener to your paint how long can you use it before it hardens. Can you keep adding thinner as well.
Is the 1 shot chromaflow good to use for pinstriping. And how much would you use in the paint.
What silence? Guess I was mesmerized also.
What would be a good starting base to be able to charge a certain work?
Ask the client what he would feel comfortable spending on a stripe job and go from there…😊
Wowww great
Any suggestions for a pin stripper in the Aspen area of Colorado?
I pinstriped all over Colorado for many years at all the MC rallies…
Only one “p” in striper…
