- In this video, join me on a voyage and take a sneak peek into Air France's La Première First Class cabin on one of their longest flights to San Francisco in the United States. 🇫🇷 ✈️ 🇺🇸
With just 76 seats across their fleet, La Première is extremely difficult to try with points or to get decent value fares but I managed to snag a last minute upgrade on my 17 hour layover between flights. I don't regret it.
From the exquisite food to excellent bedding and outstanding service from the crew, La Première is on another level to their European competitors. 🥇🇪🇺
I hope you enjoy the video of this amazing experience and please feel free to drop me comments below, what did you think? 💬
I was quite amazed I did a video of Air France and didn't default to any of that corny French music so many other channels seems to do. Also don't judge how I pronounced foie gras...I don't even know why lol.

Wow Callum. Brilliant video, and incredibly informative. Nice to see La Premiere through fresh eyes. Looking forward to your next one.
Thanks so much Brad - glad you enjoyed the video, I appreciate it especially considering how long it took to edit 😅
Great video. We plan to go next year.
Really fun to see how the "other half" lives! Fabulous video. Thank you.
Awww thank you for the lovely comment 🙏🙏 thank you for watching!
That lounge & plane looks better than all of San Francisco 😂😂
Haha. No comment 🙅♂️
Wow,a superb experience, truly!.I hope one day I can also fly La Premier! thanks Callum!!
Excited to watch!
Great job on the video. You have a natural feel for what it is people are most interested to see and learn while watching an airline video.
Thank you for the kind words Kenneth! I try to make videos I would watch, so glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks for subscribing!
I'll be flying for the first time ever in Business Class on Air France 777-300ER to Mexico City this December. Very excited. Did you manage to get a glimpse of Business Class seats? I was wondering which is the best seat location to select, I'm thinking of the seat behind first class :)
The whole experience looks amazing. Great video too.
Thank you 😆
Wow,a truly first class flight with all those amenities and great food. While on land and then arriving at SFO you had assistance, great!.Great video!!
Thanks Henry! Even if the product is getting a little old, its seriously impressive from start to finish.
@@CallumElsdon oh yes indeed. Thanks for your comment!
The creamer for the coffee should be served in a proper creamer cup!!
Yep I agree 100% - when they get so much else perfect, this seemed an oversight
Is that steak 0.20-0.22? Super nice, hope we can try the First class soo.. Fighting! ❤🎉
Oo. Steak so tasty 😋
Great video! What’s the name of the bon voyagé song?
Thank you :) I think you are talking about the song at 02:23 - that is called Liberté by Dan Zeitune feat. Loren Noymen.
Thanx Callum!
~ 6:30 that's a BMW lol but nice video, thanks!
😅😅😅 knew I’d got it wrong. I’ll get crucified for it now 😂 thanks for the comment!
@@CallumElsdon it was on the steering wheel!
Great video man! Mind if I ask how much you paid for the upgrade? I am assuming its from J to LP?
No worries & I appreciate it! I'll copy this comment from a bit below as it explains a little more :) For context my business class return was only £1k - so the extra for the upgrade is pricey...but worth it for the once in a lifetime experience of LP.
'The amount varies depending on route. This was I think about €1.6k (my base fare was already cheap and expensed to work, so this although expensive seemed a good opportunity to try). The cheapest upgrade, on average, is Mexico City or Dubai at around €1k - they are your best bet for getting a cheaper LP upgrade.
Google “FlyerTalk Air France La Premiere upgrade” - there’s a whole thread there that is really useful.'
@@CallumElsdon thanks! As a matter of fact, I am in Amsterdam at the moment and flew AF La Premiere yesterday from SFO. Got the upgrade for 1870 usd. I also followed that flyer talk forum!
Overall a nice video. Do you happen to know the La Premier phone number to call in Paris for the car service from the Hotel to the Airport? That would be very helpful for my up-coming travel.
Thanks Deem - drop me an email, I’ll send it across (contact@callumelsdon.com)
Curious to know what the upgrade cost was from business?
Typically it's 2000-2500

Does anyone know the brand and region for the Crottin de Chavignol cheese please? I found it to be exquisite on my AF flight too! Thx
Unfortunately I don’t know 😬 sorryyyy
Unfortunately I don’t know 😬 sorryyyy
Crottin de Chavignol is a goat cheese originally from Chavignol village ,Cher department in the middle of France (it’s a type of goat cheese, not a brand), you can find it in many French supermarkets ( I live on the French Riviera, here you can find any French product you fancy in big supermarkets, I bought Krug and Dom Perignon vintage in supermarkets)
How much was the upgrade?

@@CallumElsdon That sounds about right. Probably not worth it for a relatively short haul to Dubai, but to MEX defianely. It's not a premium market so I'm surprised they even offer the Cabin other than range requirements.

2:10?
Expérience gastronomique = food time 😂 (the right translation is « gourmet experience » not « food time »😂) it looks like any French cuisine you can have in a decent French restaurant. Customer service in France, that’s unusual, not the food.
Yh I know. It's not really meant to be a real translation 🤷🏼♂️
