That mandolin hasn't changed other than the color since I had one in the 70's as a young mom. It barely lasted a year as I was tired of messing with all the pieces Then I tried again in the 90's....same deal LOL.
There's no more plastic bags handed out at stores at least in Alberta. 🇨🇦 To getting used to being your own bag. Paper bags at drive thrus are now 25 cents.
Those mandolins are found in thrift stores by the dozen. I think people get them and realize they are more trouble, take up space, and more to wash. In the end it’s quicker to use a knife and cutting board.
