Blue Pottery originated in India in the 14th century post early Turkish conquests. This marvelous Turko-Persian pottery-making technology, using cobalt-aluminate reached India and eventually flourished under Mughal Empire. Cobalt-aluminate or commonly known as Cobalt blue is lighter and less intense than the (iron-cyanide based) pigment Prussian blue. It resulted in a prettier looking shade of blue distinctly associated with Blue Pottery as we know of. The creator has used the concepts of Blue pottery beautifully in the artwork. Thank you 😊
