I recently bought a roberts revival radio, it turns out that a phone icon with an x on it has appeared on the radio screen on the right. What does that mean? How can I remove it? Thank you.
Having owned one of these for 3 hours - all of which I've been trying to get it wireless connected, I can say for sure it doesn't work too well. I've tried the network wizard at least 10 times and got connected twice, both of which have subsequently dropped. Manual mode is just as bad.
Yeah, I think that's a fair point especially given the price. However, on the plus side if you do pop in some rechargeable AA batteries (and flick the little switch inside the battery compartment), the radio will recharge the batteries when it's plugged in to the mains.
This also give you more flexibility and can buy easy available AAs if the rechargeables are dead, e.g. looming 70s style blackouts this winter? FM maybe the only thing broadcasting as well 😮
Yes it's nice and yes it sounds great but what they fail to tell you is that it takes about a minute for it to connect to internet radio when turned on, whereas the Stream 83i I also have connects immediately. I sent it back to Roberts and they said there's nothing wrong with it, but why does it take so long? I'm happier with the Stream 83i except that will be obsolete for BBC internet services later this year. But beware ..if you want instant music it ain't happening with this model.
Have just had to reset the time following the clock change. Really!! I checked the daylight saving and it’s ON. Not a huge issue but I almost made my brew an hour early😂
That was an excellent presentation
What's the RMS wattage of the speakers? I can't find this on the internet.
Same. It seems to be a closely held secret that makes for difficult comparison.
How do you change and store the base and treble settings
How do you enter your router password if it contains alphanumeric keys?

Does it tune in to AM radio?
I have this exact model but my arial dose not go all the way down into the radio.
I’ve got one and its fantastic.😊

Try changing the wifi channel on your router. I had this issue and it's been working fine ever since.
Try switching routers 5Ghz band off. Maybe the Roberts radio only likes 2.4Ghz? Had this before with some WiFi lamps I have and always catch me out 😮
Is it OK now?
Bummer there's no internal rechargeable battery. What year is this?

The year your radio doesn’t go into thermal runaway and won’t be useless in 3 years?

Where is this made?
Roberts products are all designed in the UK and manufactured in the far east- as pretty much all electronic goods tend to be nowadays.
