Thank you for the window shopping : ) I very much enjoyed your past videos about adult advent calendars, now that you've reminded me of them, maybe a cheese one isn't a bad idea, although not sure how expensive those are...
Depending on your location some retailers do budget cheese calendars and also really boujee, expensive ones although I find the expensive ones are usually just a selection of full size cheeses and not necessarily a little treat for each day so I wouldn’t truly consider them an advent calendar xx
I’m US based and I picked up the Liberty London calendar both last year and this year. Love it! I especially like that it has more fragrances (4) than other mixed calendars. Also, for anyone on the fence, their customer service is on point. I had a defective sprayer in one of the fragrances and they sent me a new one out immediately.
I don't want to make you cry...❤ I bought the SpaceNK, Cult Beauty scène with love and LookFantastic calenders. Also Pink Gellac calender is waiting for me in my office/beauty room. Greeting from the Netherlands. ❤
I love these videos every year. I've gone a little bit OTT this year, I used lots of points and offers. Ended up getting the Cult Beauty Scent with love, Look fantastic, W7 (super affordable £20), Soap and glory and Hogies. The Hogies one is £60 worth over £300, I'm not sure if they ship internationally, if you sign up to their newsletter you can get 10% off. If you like T.K.Maxx you'll probably like it.
With the benefit shopping cart interest you showed: keep your eye out at both Kmart and typo, they’ve both had little tiny shopping baskets before, they may have a bigger one in the future. Also the kids toy section probably has one
I bought the cult beauty scent with love calendar and also 3 non-beauty ones: Birdandblend tea and Matcha Calendars and a liquorice calendar from LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW
💜💜💜TFS💜💜💜 make sure you wave on the way down to Margaret River... it's lovely down there, enjoy! As far as advents go, I'm still doing homework for what I want.. it's so overwhelming and as you said, so many are sold out!! Oh well.. it's not like I need it, just would be fun. I bet your super excited for mums visit.
I bought the cheapest of the two LÓccitane did. Because the Body Shop webshop is still closed in the Netherlands since february and there is not a brick and mortar shop of the brand near me; I gave other skin/bathbrands like Rituals and L'Occitane a try. I visited the factory of L'Occitane this summer and I bought the Divine facecream after my tour. It is really nice for my skin and preferences. I'm more then happy to try more of the brand and a calender is a good way to do that. And I felled in love with the Jing line of Rituals. The Body Shop is out of my bathroom... and damn I miss the vanilla pumpkin line.
Maybe a 7-day Advent calendar of Hailey/BN videos, between Christmas and New Years? Bloopers? 🎉 I bought the White Company's ceramic fragrance diffuser a few years ago, so I've tried most of their home/spa fragrances in diffuser oil, reeds or spray. Some of them are very intense, Sea Salt smells like heavy floral and not sea air, BUT their Fir holiday fragrance is the best piney fresh tree fragrance ever, I like it in my house year-round. Fir is what they put in the Advent Calendar. I've already gone a little crazy ordering 2 of the diffuser oils, a reed and thinking about the potpourri. I feel anxious already because Fir sells out so quick and they only have it for holiday.
I remember when Cadbury cream eggs were only at Easter. I looked forward to them every year but now that I can buy any time I want, I don’t want. Xmas stuff before Halloween take the special out of it imo
We have a store called next, they sell advent calendars but also beauty boxes, as I can’t spend the amount most stores are asking I bought 4 beauty boxes over a couple of months each having 6 items in, I will buy 1 more item to make 25, they start from £12 upwards, my partner will wrap them and the best thing is as I have menopause brain I’ve forgot 90% of the products already so it really will be a surprise 😊❤
lush is dropping 4 candles next week, hot toddy being one of them (the melts for the bath or wax burner are already out though if you want your house to smell like it)
I thought about buying the Look Fantastic Advent calendar, but I realised that the only thing from it that I actually want from it is the Iconic London setting spray, and I can just buy that at Sephora for a lot less than the calendar costs. I'm also tempted by the MAC Advent calendar, as well as Lancôme, Bobbi Brown, Guerlain, and Armani, but they're all so expensive and I just don't need them. I also like checking out the Body Shop ones, but I usually can't use at least half the stuff, so it's never worth it for me. I'm probably just going to stick with some sort of Harry Potter themed calendar (probably Lego but I'll look at others, too), and maybe a chocolate one as well.
You mentioned the currency exchange while you were talking about the Liberty London calendar, and as a Canadian, I feel your pain! Our dollar is also comparatively weak. That said, Liberty's exchange rate is especially criminal! Their calendar is 260 GBP and $520 in Canadian dollars, whereas the Space NK calendar was 250 GBP and somehow only $405 Canadian dollars. It seems like they've either built a hefty shipping fee into their international pricing, or Liberty has a terrible exchange rate for their international customers!! Also, you wondered whether Sephora's advent calendars are comparable in other countries, and I can tell you that their Canadian and American versions are much less interesting! North American advent calendars tend to be far inferior to UK calendars in terms of value, and our Sephora calendars are mostly sample and travel sizes with only a few full sizes. Thanks for the fun video! Hopefully, more stores and brands will make their wonderful UK calendars available to international customers in the future! (Whew! That was a novel!)
Not relevant for you but department store Marks & Spencer’s always do a beauty advent calendar that retails for approx £50 when you spend £35 in store on their home, clothes or beauty and the calendar is worth over £300 so it’s a great deal
as someone in the UK and poor (major dental issues this year...) I haven't even looked, never bought one, so your comment is a light in the dark: absolutely going to look into it at M&S! for years I have been wanting to buy an advent calendar, I always hoped next year or next year I get the Jo Malone one... yeah right, every year I have some sort of financial doom.
@@askalemuralia ah I’m sorry to hear that! Definitely do your research as I know they’re popular so don’t want you to miss out! Honestly I’m the same which is why I love the M&S one ❤️
To be honest with you, I’m buying the Billsons one and leaving it with that. I’ve gone right off makeup since the beginning of the year when brought a house and can’t afford it. It actually put me off wearing more than mascara, tinted sunscreen and lipgloss.
I never buy advent calendars but this is still one of my favorite videos of the year 😂😅
Same 😂
I appreciate the going slower approach because we can enjoy talking about and discussing the calendars without the temptation to buy!
Are you going to have your mom put together an Advent calendar for you again? That was super cute
The blank space in the Yesstyle calendar is Day #1. You open it from the other side (the front of the box).
Thanks for letting me know, I didn't even notice! xx

Will you be doing a dog advent calendar this year? I love when you open these with Freya 🐾
I love beauty advent calendars, but I’m still working on the previous years of over buying make up and skin care. Maybe by next year I can get one 😊
Harrods, Space NK and Look Fantastic all purchased. I put money aside every month for these. Can’t wait for the 1st December. 🎄🏴🎅🏻 🥰
How did you get Harrods? I would love to get one Are you in Australia?
@@ValentinaSmedley I got it when it was first released. I’m in Scotland, UK. Hopefully you find something you like 🎄🎅🏻
@@kirstydavidson8431 thank you, enjoy your calendars 😀

Yay I always look forward to your Christmas content! 🌲🌲
Costco Christmas is up now in the usa. It really does feel a bit early, but picked up an advent for the puppies
Yay! Margaret River is where I live. Hope you love it ❤

I loved this video. Will you do a Freya advent callander opening with us this year ?? Pretty please .😀
Yes absolutely!! Even if I had none for myself I would get one for Freya!
I'll get the lookfantastic one this year! Kiehls and lush look inter esting as well!
I don’t even celebrate Christmas , since I’m Muslim , but man oh man your advent calendar videos are a must for me 🥰🥰
Hahahaha I’m so glad you like them Jane, we don’t need to celebrate the same holidays to just hang out and talk about stuff :) xxx

So tempted by the L'Occitane one

Guerlain does look danged pretty. I remember spotting last year’s on their website after Christmas, but never on sale though.

The blank spot on the YesStyle calendar is for the #1 day box (you open it from the front)
Oh I didn't realise that, thanks for letting me know!
I was lucky to get the SpaceNK beauty calendar in store!
Also just ordered the flannels fragrance one - a smell-blind buy so hoping I like them!

That’s such a great way to diy a calendar for yourself! Xxx
Freya ❤

The most wonderful time of the year is watching hailey open advent calendars
bought 2 Lookfantastic [ one for me] 1 Lookfantastic grooming for my son and an Avant calendar again for me.

I always get a beauty calendar or two but won't be this year. I wish we could get the ritual ones here though because they are gorgeous
Yer I got the harrods one the liberty London glossy box and another one can’t remember name x
I really wanted to watch but the sound quality was too harsh for my ears for the duration of the video.

I'm skipping calendars this year and will be buying from Caroline Hirons and Lisa Eldridge instead as they both have some newness about to drop.
I'm already hating trying to buy the Yesstyle calendar 😢 Tried last Tuesday, computer said no...
I do not understand the appeal of those things.
