Gotta love those sport bike riders who aren't afraid to follow the 4 wheel drivers around!! Sport quads are a dying breed. I used to be the only guy in our group who rode a sport quad...Yellow Honda 400EX. I called it the " Killer Bee". I went everywhere they went and sometimes could climb up muddy hills that they couldn't. Back then there was no 1000cc 4wd quads though. On the 400EX you could nail the throttle and build momentum so quickly you could basically slingshot yourself up a muddy bank or across a mudhole using pure momentum.The heavy 4wd guys even though they had 4x4 couldn't build up enough steam to make it up before spinning out. Again this was before the HP wars ( showing my age aren't I??). Of course thats all changed now and its rare to see anyone riding them. Those 5 speed foot shifters with a manual hand clutch sure were fun. I wish it was a option on some of these big 4x4's. Could you imagine one of these big 1000's with a manual clutch and foot shift...it would be a blast!!!! I think if Honda grew some balls and introduced a new big bore V Twin with a manual foot shift they would sell like hot cakes. Many of us miss shifting gears!!!!!!
I own a yellow 400ex. It needs some work done to it but hopefully this winter I can get to it! Some of these new 4x4 are almost like a sport quad! The Renegade is one of them! Love them wheelers!!
The problem with a lot of ATV parks these days is your average joe just can’t ride anymore. The trails and holes have gotten so wallered out or rutted by SxS’s running 35’s and up, that your average Quad or SxS frames out and gets stuck every other hole. There are some parks where I live (South Georgia) that if you don’t have a minimum of $30,000 in your ride, you might as well stay home!
The first guy definitely had the right tires. Just not enough clearance, but vampires are the absolute best tires for mud and dirt. I had a set on the back of my warrior, and son id go we're alot of 4 wheel drive quads couldn't go..
ALL of the can ams where mud bikes. The only Polaris that was close to compare was the scrambler that made it through no problem. The first Polaris was 20 years old. I’d like to see a 20 year old can am or stock in general try those ruts. Put a stock Polaris high lifter in there to make it fair. Polaris has made the best quads in the industry for decades. That’s why they sell more than all the rest combined! They just got into the mud game late. Industry leaders in every other aspect for decades!
Cool wish the weather was like this now we have about 2 ft of snow. I'm trying to find a used sled to get out on until I can pull the atv out again. I tried riding the atv but it isn't much fun once the snow is a certain amount it' just spins and spins. Kind of like mud I guess haha 😂🍻👍

Like seeing the different bunch of machines tackle the mud makes it interesting and sometimes surprised who makes it threw and who doesn't lol. Ya I'm in Alberta Canada so lots of snow up here makes for some good sledding. Nice hope you get some snow! The temp is +4C here tho with all that snow so it's perfect

If they are rode hard they all need seasonal rebuilds! lol I have seen a lot of people go from Polaris to can-am but not can-am to polaris. But if everyone rode the same brand we wouldnt have anything to bust on each other about!! HAHAHHAHA
