Hole has so much lost media, I wish more of it was published, in years I want to see the 1994 Reading festival concert 😭

The mental images I have always associated with "Live Through This" are all from the liner notes and the cover of the album. So, after all this time, it's such a strange feeling to watch and hear actual footage of them making the album.
This will sound really silly, but it brings it to life somehow.... or it brings *something* to life, anyway. I can't describe it very well...lol
But it's a trip.

1.) When she wanted to...Courtney could sing with a lot more accuracy and pitch. On the record she always sounds great but their live concerts leave much to be desired from this era - especially any screams where she's basically always lazily breaking up any sustained notes into two.
2.) Studio rehearsals like this are awesome because you get to see the band literally come together on music that we've all come to love.
I wish there was more footage like this during the actual recording and writing process from similar bands. I would kill to be a fly on the wall during a rehearsal of Nirvana, Green Day, Weezer, Pumpkins during the making of their greatest albums.
touring and promoting that album was probably the hardest period of her live, so it's no surprise she didn't sound as good. celebrity skin era had some great vocals tho.

Right? As a Kristin and a bass player myself (gen x class of 96) I remember feeling a little kinship with her. I will always wonder what she would’ve ended up doing had she made it back home. 💔 I feel like her and Kurt would’ve been such a good couple. 😪 Sweet girl gone too soon.
