- TRAVEL GUIDE For Grenoble, France | MUST WATCH Before Going Here | France Travel Vlog. We had a free week between Paris and Lyon and decided to spend this workation in the beautiful town of Grenoble, France near the French Alps. We love Grenoble and find it to be entirely underrated, not super touristy, and an absolutely stunning city. With tons of outdoor activities all year round, free museums, beautiful lookout spots on a magnificent hilltop fortress, remarkable history, this city has ample opportunity and beauty!
In this video, we take you around the city as we explore new areas, play in the park, and go for very long treks down windy paths from the fortress. We finished our night in the Christmas Market, which is just a teaser for future videos to come.

what was the battle around Grenoble called?
Great question! The biggest battle we learned about while there was the Battle of the Alps during WWII, which was essentially the Italian invasion of France! Wish we could have taken a more in depth tour at the Bastille, would have been incredible to learn more about the history around more battles.
