- Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania joins "CBS Mornings" just over one year after seeking treatment for depression at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Fetterman, who suffered a stroke in May 2022, used a closed captioning device and a stenographer as he addressed the Israel-Hamas war and the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

How can you be that upfront about this man's needs for special audiotory processing and at the same time have 3 unnecessary people talking over each other to ask the same banal questions over and over? I mean jesus. One basic interviewer is not enough for an 8 minute segment?
I really respect Senator Fetterman as a human being. Im really proud of him and how open he has been about his mental health. He is absolutely right, mental health care IS medical care, its nothing to be ashamed of.
Respect Sen. Fetterman for sharing his journey with mental health and stroke. There is little to no research available for stroke survivors and long-term life impacts. I wish him ongoing recovery.
