Picking No23 was a big compliment to her. He knew it was a stitch up, so chose someone he thought was mentally and physically capable in that instant.
Yes, also I think 23 herself (Elouise) looked very disappointed, as well as confused by this revelation. To be honest, I'm not sure if there was really any point in this 'Jamie the recruit' charade. I see no evidence that he learned any more about the real recruits than the rest of the DS's would normally find out anyway just by observation but I suppose it makes for interesting TV lol.
It really shows the genius behind this show; the fact you know the reveal is coming all along and yet with the set up together with the music and lighting it still somehow makes it shocking and epic!
Imagine having to be introduced after him though,
"And contestant number two is Lee, he got a C in food technology and once pushed a sleeping cow over on a lads holiday in Bulgaria" *confidently smiles at camera.

Interesting wee point - Jay Morton has a huge Para Reg tattoo on his chest - in the first programme, when the group were ordered to strip to their underwear and run over the hill to the accommodation, he'd had a fake tattoo painted over it to protect his ID. They thought of everything!!

James Moncur He had it the tatoo covered up with a skull when he was in Magaluf (didn’t say why), wasn’t done specifically for the show. He spoke about it on Foxy’s podcast and said he wish he had a pound for every time someone asked about it.

It's now been 5 years since Jamie was revealed as the mole… I only wish that it was kept secret from us as well until the reveal, it would’ve been one of the best moments in SAS history (it already is to be fair)

We the UK have the best in the world. SAS and Army. They chose to be put trough by the the best. They are lucky to experience that training. I am deeply proud of our boys.
Surely after 5 series’, all the recruits must know there’s a mole within the group. Shouldn’t come as such a surprise anymore.

It will be interesting how this goes. Sure Jamie is a member of that SAS team and he will be addressed differently, but do you think he will be more lenient than the others? He knows more about them personally, I wonder if his closeness to a couple of the group will affect how he reacts with them? Or it could have just been all fake and he never ever considered any of these people as a teammate and just shut off all emotion to not get involved, if so, it will be interesting to see him grill the others and the groups reaction to it all.

During any training, you have bad cop and good cop. One breaks you down, while the other picks you up. It is a mental game, where you can break. However, it could be your brother or sister, if you have a job to do, and you are higher rank, then you do not take prisoners or play favourites.

@@pointycapitals7306 All military training, it does not matter what force you go into, it is all the same. However, each force will have a level that they will go to. Training now has become a lot softer in recent decades. In my days it was tough, but not as tough as twenty years before us. The DI's (Drill instructors) would often tell us how soft we had it, not allowed to swear at recruits etc. However, now it is even softer.

jamie played as a squad leader in the korean reality show the soldiers, i recommend checking it out the entire show is on youtube fully translated. You got ex korean military soldiers from different branches army,navy,special forces etc being split up into 4 teams, with jamie as a leader for one group, green beret for another, swedish special forces operator for another and lastly korean special forces.
