@@jaysmith2858 was brought in over the last couple of years and replaces other canoeing categories. Gone is the 200m sprint kayak canoe races. Which were fantastic to watch
@@BrettSirrell It's all about the views, sod the actual sport. Would they put obstacles on the track for the Olympic track and field 100m final? I think not.
That's why the likes of 'breaking', surfing, climbing and skateboarding can get included in the Olympics, but not squash, and I'm not even a massive fan of squash.
@@jaysmith2858wait until you hear about the hurdles 😁 That said, I agree I don't like this format - there's a lot of barging that doesn't feel right. If they want a race with multiple people on the water, use flat water, if they want white water, do time trials so that they don't hit each other.
@@jaysmith2858hurdles…. Just joking tho. An I’d rather watch surfing and climbing then sprint or kayak cross. It’s a shame that views is what seems to determine which sports are selected. I hear squash may be joining next time!
c'est pathétique ; où comment dévoyer une belle discipline, le slalom et de si beaux athlètes (technicité, talent, travail), sans parler de la catégorie C2, sacrifiée...pfff
that's the worst race I've ever seen. there shouldn't be an olympic medal given out for that.
