so where is the video
bruh
one more tip- always build the cannon in the direction of where you place the button, and explosive rounds and shrapnel need some kind of fuse on them (right click on the round with the the fuse)

I probably wont return here, but I WILL subscribe because it was straight to the point, simple, and calm.
For those pondering what the screw piece does:
I'll need to say some stuff first, a built cannon (unactivated) is a "whole" contraption. Whether you built it on the mount or not, so long as you have the chamber and a "closed piece". It is whole as in, a single sticky piston will move the ENTIRETY of the cannon as if it's stuck with glue.
With the screw piece, you'll be able to screw and unscrew it to change whether it's "whole" or not. Allowing you to move the "close piece" alone. With this you make a sort of extra-complicated & large slide breech.
Visually, when it's unscrewed, the black knob will extended outwards and will stick out a bit.
Screwed, the black knob is no more than a black ring around the shaft, nearly flush into it.
If you didn't get that, try this to understand:
_Use a mechanical stick piston to move the screw breech in both it's "unscrewed" state and "screwed" state when it's attached onto a couple chambers_
.
(Unimportant)
I'm wondering about because I'm stumped my 10 cannon array turned out to be unreliable when it came to shrapnel shell from some reason. You see that single block gap between the cannon and the mount? I placed another mount on it (no yaw because I didn't want to dabble with that yet). It worked perfectly fine with solid, HE, and grapeshot but shrapnel just destroys some of the cannons (timed fuses, not impact).
And that I needed inspiration for a more automated loading system.
I would say use schematicannons or deployers holding a blueprint to place the ammunition.
My full auto cannon setup first, places the pieces with deployers. It then uses bearings to rotate them forwards, it pulls up the cannon back, pushes the round in, closes, and assembles. I can then fire or set it to automatically fire once the round is loaded.

cant wait to place these on my airship when create aeronautics comes out, thanks for teaching me the basic context.

Great video!
Otherside playing as I shell my friends with a cannon is very fitting
Dam Loved the Vid, Thanks! Earned the Sub
Now with the Aeronautics mod coming soon all i wound need now is something like Big cannons, but smaller. but this is awesome in its very own right, keep at it
Ah yes now with this my steampunk needs would finally be satisfied to the fullest. Thanks for the add-on mate!
We didn’t make this add on, we just made a tutorial. It is an add on made by rbasamoyai.
Fantastic and life-saving!
The sticky piston doesnt pull or push the cannon end?
good job! this is a amazeing video
The dev is removing the ability to move the end of the Cannon in some updates coming so keep an eye out for that
Edit: you will still be able to load from the back using the sliding or screw breech but you can't just move the end of the cannon as all the parts will be casted together
no more breech loaded cannons ):
:( why? I would like to fire those cannons quickly like actual artillery
@@StarWarsExpert_ Actually artillery can be muzzle loaded
hey, how do i sue the sliding screw breach?
@@theawsomegamer5708 to use the screw breech you need to give the back of it rotational power, where the screw will move out, then you can physically move the back with a mechanical piston or bearing, and then you can load, then put the breech back and screw it back in with rotational power in the opposite direction
For the sliding breech you just give the side of it rotational power, which will push the breech up (make sure its all the way up) and then you can load from the back and then slide it back down (make sure there isn't a charge or a shot in the actual breech part or it will not be able to close
i cant find it on cursforge any tips
thanks so much, Zack! Very helpful :D!!!
Hey Zack Tutorials, for some reason that I don't know, the ram thing won't connect with the piston heads. The piston heads move, but without the ram thing. What could I be doing wrong? Or does the mod not work on version 5 of Create?
Well normally, you would have, say, cannon here loader here. for the loader, put a ram head here and then the loader and then piston heads on the back. You might also be putting the piston heads on the back of the loader.
@@liormalka8246 is the master of this stuff (he was the one to record the vid i just edited :P)
@@liormalka8246 I that several times, but it still doesn't work. Even when I manage to pull the ammo, (two explosive one solid) in the barrel while it is an entity and try moving the cannon, the cannon moves, but the ammo is still at the spot it was before. And when I unflick the lever for the cannon to be in a block state, it breaks the ammo.
Lior Malka do you have discord so we could talk about this? That would be very cind of you!
I wonder, what is a screw breech?
Yes it is the end of a cannon but how does one move it? I am not able to, whether it's screwed in or out.
I don't really know, but the mod is in W.I.P so for now you can just mine it and replace it.
@@zack6038-tutorials bruh, makes for bad automation lol

I THINK I KNOW!
With this, you can load the cannon from the back instead of from the front where it's more awkward and dangerous to operate.
If you didn't get that, try this to understand:
Use a mechanical stick piston to move the screw breech in both it's "unscrewed" state and "screwed" state.
@@dumbleking5172 Well, I was able to move it with a mechanical piston after some more intense experimenting.
But thanks for the explanation regardless.
To use shaders on this, you can't use optifine. instead you have to use rubidium and oculus. (rubidium - www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/rubidium/files | oculus - www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/oculus/files ) shaders used in the thumbnail: www.complementary.dev/reimagined/
i use optifine
Can someone please tell me why my create and create big cannons require different versions?
hey 1 question how do i add the mod beacause when i add the mod and open minecraft and it said missing flywheel
well did you download 𝙖𝙡𝙡 of the mods?
@@zack6038-tutorials yes
you need to install flywheel
I need some help with my cannon the shell goes in but the powder charges don’t
is your cannon long enough? does your loader have enough pistons? a good way to test that is to, without any shells, see if it goes all the way to the edge of the cannon (ram head just touching the back) and if your cannon is say, 3 chambers and 2 barrels, use a 3 block long round.
I forgot to rotate the breach
@@jay_jonathan9619 oh alright
the back peice of the cannon wont stick to a piston
can anyone explain how squib ratio works to me? i'm kind of confused.
not really sure, but from my understranding it has something to do with bullet size: cannon. like for example, a 5 block long cannon needs 3 blocks of ammo, a 4 block also does. squib ratio has something to do with bullet: empty space in a cannon
Just wait until the Aeronautics update comes out. Airships with cannons.
lol yeah :P
I now remember playing with the archimedes mod in older versions...
that is exactly why i have it in modpack.
valk skies + eureka is compatible with create + cannons
help i can't find the any block in the creative inventory!!!
/j
The sticky Pistons won't work on the cannon ends for some reason
Same for me
Did you figure out why?
Whats the max range you can get on these things?
theoretically, infinite. the longer the barrel, the more powder charges. so really, if you make the cannon large enough at 1 end of the world outside the border, 60 million blocks is max distance.
Create version?
No, it’s a Create addon.
For some reason I can’t use the hand cranks to move the cannons. Anyone got any suggestions?
Simply put, cannons are very heavy. basically gear down the handcrank, so its slower but has more rotational force.
im trying to make nethersheet cannon it wont work
what do you mean not working? does it explode, refuse to assemble, or something else?
@@liormalka8246 how do i make the nethersheet move with a piston
@@liormalka8246 like i kinda fixed it but how do i load a nethersheet cannon then?
@@pizzastock111 just like this one. you have to use all nethersteel on the cannon, and just use the screw breech like a normal cannon end. worst case scenario, use the loader like we did in the video (make sure that the ram head doesent go inside, but is touching the end of the cannon. then, just place the nethersteel screw breech on the back, assemble and fire.
@@pizzastock111 drive.google.com/file/d/1hJgamFHo1RQ5BAAptg5AtQn-Q4wXP7QR/view?usp=sharing does this help?
Is 1.18.2 ?
Please add voice over to your videos.
for some reason it is not letting the piston pick up the end of the cannon for me
is it a nethersteel cannon?
No
1.18.2?
Can someone help the sticky piston isn't sticking
It wont pull em the end piece
Are they still not craftable? How do I craft them in survival? Someone plz help?
currently, it's not possible to craft them.
@@zack6038-tutorials oh thx
bruv the pistone WILL NOT MOVE THE THING
i made a freekin kv-1 with this, I won
how i kan not make it work
mine does not work it is overstressed
make sure to put a large cog on the cannon, and a small cog on the crank just like we did. also if the cannon is too large, repeat the ratio so that its slower, but has more torque.
mine dont shoot
did you follow the tutorial to the last block? If so did you assemble it (Pull lever to make it actually able to shoot)?
it doesn t work
This did not work I followed everything correct
It did not help
fake
worst tutorial ive ever watched
For some reason my piston is not sticking into the cannon end. I used all the same materials that you used.
Same problem here
Same
