- So there's an extra secret gambit shader that appears in collections called
Phosphorescent and no one knows how to get it yet. It came alongside Season of the Witch and it says it's a gambit shader BUT the gambit shader for the season is called Night Vision. So where do we get this from?

UPDATE: The Phosphorescent Shader currently visible in Collections is not an actual item, and instead was added to the game unintentionally. This will be removed in a future update.

UPDATE PART 2:
"We looked into this and... it turns out the Phosphorescent Shader doesn't actually exist, hence the placeholder icon. As for the coloring, this is default/base "shader" when there's no shader data applied. We'll be removing it in an upcoming update."

Edit: I have heard that this shader isn’t actually going to be added so no need to reply about that.

that would be cool but would probably have to be disabled in pvp so you cant get an advantage hiding in a corner
The reason the shader is a mix of dark greys and blacks is because of it not actually having any colour scheme tied to it and instead defaulting to what is essentially a blank slate. We've seen this before with Ballidorse Wrathweavers which initially released with the same colour scheme as the one depicted in this new shader before they were changed to better match their item icon with a predominantly copper colour. Even before then, this was an issue as the Shards of Galanor ornament from S15 had no colour until it too was updated to better match its intended look. Don't get your hopes up for an all black shader just yet, this crowd can be more creative than that.

The shader is going to be released in festival of the lost. That’s a placeholder image whenever you see the pink boxes.

The shader looks sick on armour too with the slight metallic look to it even if it is unintentional it’s a shame it’s not in the game bungie take notes and add a shader like this it’s what we have wanted as players for years!!! 😩

It will probably have a green glow. That's why it's a "Gambit" shader. Probably for Halloween and Gambit is the placeholder.

Not a lot of people are talking about it but if you go to collections armor universal ornaments I believe on page 2 or 3 there is the Halloween armor I thought it was eververse but it wasn’t in the store
no it is the eververse set, but you cant buy it in the store because bungie was shitty the last few months and greedy, so they will make the armour ernable through gameplay instead
It might be only available during FOTL as per event armour in eververse
