It’s obvious that it’s going to be way more expensive. An Oled 1200p native Vrr display (we have yet to see if it’s true) can only be custom made these days, costing much more money. Additionally strix point Apu’s cost twice as much to OEM’s so it’s only natural these devices will be much more expensive. Depending on their sales target they may want to get more aggressive on pricing, but I doubt it will be worth it.
@@sqlexpI think you will still be able to hold it vertically, i believe the screen size is the same and the new controllers will be backwards compatible
By the time the go 2 drops, it will be old news. The tech in the pc world moves so damn fast, I have a hard time pulling the trigger on one because there’s always a better one coming right around the corner. 🙄
The legion go s is basically an ally with the regular Z1 chip and an oled....😢 I have an ally z1e and a steamdeck and i want oled but and bigger device to replace my steamdeck with not mich of a spec boost compared to what i already have. Only way I think I'll upgrade now is if my son rather a handheld PC over getting a switch 2...
The Go S is underpowered by todays Handheld hardware standards. Its also grossly overpricedfor what it offers.Better alternatives already exist for cheaper. It looks good though with that big screen. But the Legion 2 with Z2Extreme is the true next gen model. But lenovo might be pushing Go S at high price so they can justify overpricing their main product which is the Legion2 Z2E model
I was going to wait to upgrade my LEGO to a LEGO 2 but got impatient and bought an Ally X because i wanted a smaller handheld with a better battery. Im actually very happy I did. I use Viture Pro XR glasses. Holding a giant device is overrated when you use glasses as your screen. I wish I could get a handheld with no screen at all personally. A controller i could just plug xr glasses into would be epic!
The Steam Deck was a proof of concept. Valve doesn't make money selling the hardware and eats the cost because they make it back from game sales. I'm not gonna say they will never make another version because there's a high demand for it, but I agree that they're really in no rush at all to do so.
100% the GO 2
Definitely giving the go S steam OS a shot. If it’s not up to snuff I’ll return it. But I want to see how that screen looks.
I have the Ally x. Ill wait for the LeGo 2 and maybe get the Ally 2 next year. The go s is a waste.
Great video, my only worry is the new Legion Go 2 may be priced higher than the original Legion Go, due to the upgrades and OLED screen. We shall see.

If it can't be held vertically (with or without flip grip), it won't be worth buying.
@@sqlexp that is such a niche use case, that 99% of people won’t care about.

@@benhawk4214 But not with the controllers attached to the sides in a way that can be used normally.

Ayaneo 😂
@ fr, they’re the worst lol going aya comes with buyers regret
That's a good problem to have though. Unlike a console where you're locked into the same performance for 8yrs like on the Switch.
