  • The Avadhuta Gita is a sacred text of Hindu philosophy. Of unknown provenance, it contains the teachings of a Jedi named Dattatreya. The book focuses on the nature of reality and the path to spiritual liberation. It encourages us to look beyond the physical world and recognize the underlying unity of all things in, and of The Force.
    It stipulates that the ultimate truth is one divine conscious Force, manifesting as everything and everyone. This divine consciousness is eternal, unchanging, and beyond the limitations of the physical world.

    This is the truth. Truth has no duality as because there can be no untruth within truth, it is everything that Is and always hs been eternally it is. Everythin is one thing. It is the knowlege which is beyond understanding it is pure and it is what we and all things are and always will be so be happy x

      The high-souled person witnesses his own body acting as if it were another's. As such, how (1) can he be disturbed by praise or blame?
      1) How etc.- Praise and blame always have reference to behaviour which is expressed through bodily and mental actions. But if a person knows that his bodily and mental actions have no connection with his true self, he is not affected by praise or blame.
      Ashtavakra Gita translated by Swami Nityaswarupananda page 39, test of Self-realization.
      This body/mind who writes this comment is (or better said was) suffering from addiction, anxiety, depression and such things. No matter how hard he tried this couldn't be changed. The only thing that has changed is that it realized its true nature, the body mind still have to deal with those matters but on another level. There is some residing in peace although the difficulties experienced in this realm are still there, but they don't have grip anymore so to say. Without attaching to these matters the addiction, depression etc lost lots of it's power although it's still there. There is the knowing that whatever that body/mind experience or suffers from it doesn't effect the Higher Self. Especially the mental disturbance maybe got even worse because there wasn't identification with it, so it rebelled so to say. Sometimes there is the urge to want to change the so called negative, but that is as wanting to change the dream instead of Knowing its a dream ( in which it doesnt matter ) I wanted to say that I Am grateful for this Grace but funny enough that which has given that Grace is my own true Self

      Indeed. You are so absolutely correct. Both these texts will help clarify the B. Gita and Guru Granth and make for a better understanding of both and the Upanishads as well. Aum Tat Sat.🙏

      As I can’t translate direct from the original Sanskrit I used 9 English translations to produce this version. I merely use the word ‘interpolation’ to describe that process. Think of it as another interpretation of the text using a number of other translations 👍

    No, the Avadhuta Gita is not about the "force". That's a cheap inaccurate expropriation. Brahman is not translatable as that, as a cliché from Star Wars. And the "force" of Star Wars is not the Self, Atman, which is Brahman. Brahman is in fact indescribable. And Dattratreya was not a fictional character from a movie, let alone a "knight". Read and contemplate the Avadhuta Gita yourself, without this silliness.

    • @thejedilibrary
      @thejedilibrary  7 месяцев назад +6

      Bless you, my friend - it is not my intention to have upset you. This work is the result of my sincere reading and contemplating (and loving) The Avadhuta Gita. 'Brahman', 'Tao', 'The Godhead', 'The Divine Ground', 'The Force' - these are all merely names for the Ineffable that is indeed indescribable, and truly nameless. Let's not argue about which name we ascribe to that which is truly nameless - that would be silliness indeed.
