you guys are the best. i love how you explain the steps in detail. could you do a video on how to photoshop an image on fabric? like adding an image to a plain t-shirt - wrinkles, folds, textures and all.
The tip of holding the space bar when zoomed in and making a selection was especially useful! Had no idea about that and would save me a lot of trouble ! Thanks
You make learning Photoshop so much fun! I wish I could meet you. I learned so much more watching your videos than I did in my college Photoshop class.
you are awesome..............wanted to learn photoshop for a long time found a gem of a person who explains very clearly................love u bro........god bless u
I haven't had time to watch your videos lately, but I'm glad I caught this one. Dude, you are a phenomenal teacher, not to mention your mastery of the topic. Thanks and blessings!
Great video, as someone who has been using photoshop for a long time now, it's good to know that there is still more to learn, even about the tools I've been using for a long time. For example, I never knew about the reference point selector, and that is so amazingly simple and useful I know I'll be using it a lot in future.
Could you do another tutorial using this same psd file, but make it look like the image that is in the phone is actually the background in the picture as well? Kind of like you are there in the moment taking that actual picture? Seems more advanced and a cool project. Love your work!
I've watched A LOT of photoshop tutorials and i can easily say that yours are the best. Love your style, it basically makes learning fun, also great sound and video quality :) Thanks for the great tutorials, haven't missed any of them!
I've been watching these videos non stop for the past 3 days and I am loving all of this great information. I definitely will be purchasing the PRO tutorials. The most entertaining part to me is how he looks like a different person in every video lol
love your tutorials. you are the first place i look for anything i want to learn or refine in photoshop! to the point and easy to follow (also not cookie cutter, baby steps :))
Thank you so much^^ I am always curious about how designers can display their works in various places looking so realistic. Now I find out. So it's the way they create a mock-up. Pretty cool!
Interesting tutorial. And I totally knew you were going to add that reflection effect to the screen... you always did it to the thumbnails of your first videos! :D
You're the best Aaron , great and helpful tutorials , Can you make us a tutorial about how to make a Polygon ( Low-Poly) portrait ? :) that will be great
Aaron, your the Bob Ross of Photoshop. As you're moving along, I yell out Oh No! Don't do that ! In end end... It's like perfect. Can't tell you how much I get out of these. Even though some of them are simple and things I've used for a long time... It;s just Phlearn Phun to watch !
Aaron can you make an tutorial with Overlay backgrounds (fog, light bleed, rain; all in black/white) and with use of the blending sliders or overlay modes?
Hi Aaroon, I love your shows. I would like to learn how to free transform a particular subject and preserve its shadows to the final image and make it look real. It would be great if you could put up a tutorial on it. Thanks and Regards, Debanjan Paul
hey just wanna say I thought it would be so cool if you make a series about basics in photoshop. So in one video you only review one tool or at least a couple tool with the same use (like rectangular and elliptical marquee tool) and you teach us on how to maximise each of them :)
I do this a bit differently. First, I prepare the image which goes into the screen and crop it to the same scale separately. When it's finished I just grab the corner points and move them to the corners of the screen. Sometimes, the screen is rounded so it is necessary to create a mask. This way it is easier to position the image to the right angle (for me). And if the prepared image is a smart object, I can move it around in the screen if I need to (but most of the time I don't).
I learn a lot from your videos. Thank you. Just two questions. When you use the free transform tool, there are numbers by the cursors. What are these numbers and can you set it up where you don't see the numbers? Thanks.
Sorta kinda related: Can you puppet warp 2 layers at once? Completely unrelated: How do you get content aware fill to not freak out when you get close to the edge of the layer? Last question: If you have two images that are exactly the same except for one area, is there a way to select any pixels that dont match? I tried using the difference blending mode, and I figured everything should be black except the pixels that don't match, but I can't get a good selection without losing a lot of detail. Best channel
If you play with the blending modes on the picture layer, you will take on the attributes of the bottom layer like the dust particles on the phone and any lighting if there was any. It makes it look more realistic. I do this with video that is added to TV screens for screen fills.
I wish you do some (architectural) photo processing of renders of interior (lighting and all) and exterior building (people, trees plants) use of different outputs like alpha map, material ID map , depth of field map, lighting map, etc...
Hey Phlearn, I need advice. I'm a 3D guy (mostly), I work with photoshop a lot too, but usually it's for creating something new, and rarely retouching photography. I recently had an interview for a job where I'm supposed to work with photography a lot as a photoshop artist. Any things you think would be very helpful to help me land that job?
+Phlearn Photoshop and Photography Tutorials I think that glare thing is not looking natural . I think , it's due to the base of the triangle and I think u wud have made it transparent to make it look more real. btw, ur video was awesome. Keep it going !
Could you possibly specify which version of Photoshop you are you using please? Obviously not all versions are the same and some features would not be available in Elements 13 (which I use). Could save some frustration looking for tools/techniques that I don't have. The videos do give me a lot of useful tips & ideas though.
that reminded me of Freehand, about 15 years ago (before adobe bought it out and killed it) Freehand had cut & past inside, did the same thing in two clicks. Too bad it is gone, I really liked Freehand.

Hi, very interesting video. I'd like to know how you can apply the free transform tool to a single object in an image, no the whole image.Cheers!
