What a beautiful voice that girl has - a really pure version of the National Anthem.

I am a Biafran and i don't understand a word of irish language (until i listened and basically learn this lovely piece) but i find it uplifting. Because we are passing through what your nation passed through from british government until you become free. Soon we shall be free from British and nigerian governments then will shall chant a soldier's song.

I am pleased to speak to another Dead Kennedys fan. I too appreciated the song, though I prefer it in English, as sung in the General Post Office, in 1916.

Absolutely beautiful. I've never *EVER* heard a female sing this (I'm from New Zealand. The only time I get to hear it is All Blacks vs Ireland in the rugby) and now it's gone from powerful to beautiful

For the non irish on here this is an irish music and dance competition of the Gaelic Athletic Association whose remit is promote and preserve the traditional pastimes of ireland.They are primarily a sports body and govern gaelic football and hurling our national games which are still the most popular sports in terms of match attendance.but they also promote other aspects of irish of irish culture such as music and its this you see in the video
As non-Irish person I fell proud of a fact that I know this even before your explanation. Probubly has something to do with my love of Ireland, Irish people and culture. Hope to see Ireland soon, best wishes!
