    What an interesting discussion. I completed my LLB a few years ago and I am in project management. I yearn for practice, but the complexities that come with articles and financial burdens involved, are really putting me off. I am now busy with my LLM and hope to also get into academia.

    I was waiting for this😀😀. I am currently completing my LLB and in the future I want to lecture either in private or public. @Yvonne please interview someone who is doing environmental law or a patent or copyright lawyer, I just need some clarity in terms of choosing my electives for my final semester. Thank you in advance. 🧡

      Hey, i hope this was helpful in giving you an idea of how your life as Lecturer could be. Secondly I will definitely find that person but that would be in season 2, if you need clarity urgently please look for those type of lawyers on LinkedIn, they usually respond ❤️

    Hi Yvonne, thank you so much for this interview. I just want to know what type of training, if any, does a lecture undergo before they start lecturing.

    • @katleholetsiri
      @katleholetsiri 5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Amanda. Yes, there is training before you start and it is also available continuously (depending on the institution). It would ordinarily involve workshops around developing a teaching philosophy and pedagogy, as well as building a teaching portfolio. This relates to the approach one adopts and really the type of lecturer they want to be. There is also training available on the research aspect of being a lecturer, such as how to write for publication. Again, these things are sort of an art so, training is ongoing.

    Hey hey, I might be a little bit late but is it possible that one can obtain an LLM in labour law but become a lecturer for first year modules such as Law of persons
    By the way this is a very informative session😊

    Hi Yvone I'm currently doing my grade 12 and I want to study law at varsity. I'm interested in tech as well so i was thinking after my law degree I could enroll for a Masters in Cyberlaw . Id like to ask if its possible for you to interview someone who has completed thier cyberlaw masters so that I can get insight on the different career paths that I can take and what cyberlaw entails as a whole .Thank you.
